When nuclear fire scorched the earth over two hundred years ago, what remained of the human race assumed that the rest of the world had been destroyed as well, but that wasn't entirely true for one country and one country only had withstood Armageddon its name, was Australia. with its survival came hope they started rebuilding soon the first houses where constructed then farms after that town were built then cities and not long after the first factories came back online, flip forwards a hundred years and it's like nothing had ever changed, when they brought RAINFALL operational, they started studying the outside world, very few people outside of Australia had interacted with them those that did only talked with the occasional soldier patrolling the area, they only set up small supply depots on PNG to supply patrols throughout the region. they also had an airforce numbering a hundred thousand pilots and engineers, the most commonly used fighter jet was the F-22 Raptor with 8 missiles per plane it's the main role was air superiority but could also commit to bombing runs and airstrikes, their Navy had one dreadnought 20 destroyers 40 warships and hundreds of landing craft. The army itself was well equipped and well trained with even the lowest private being able to fill multiple roles at once, eg: the team sniper could also be the team medic. they also wear advanced power armour MK4. When the military reactivated RAINFALL they also reconnected with the Bradley Hercules, ARCHIMEDES 2 and half a dozen other orbital missile platforms along with reconnaissance and commercial satellites.
