Well since Wong Tong left me hanging I guess I would be forced to do my homework myself. I haven't really payed attention to anything the teacher is saying but I'll figure it out later. Right. I mean how hard could it be. Cells and shit.
Nah. I'm completely fucked.
I walked to my locker were I saw a particular baby pink haired girl standing. I through my head back and groaned. Can't you just leave me alone. I continued to walk past her, pretending to not even notice her or need to go to my locker. Before I knew it the druggie was in front of me blocking my path and I was looking down at her as she was looking up at me. Then I don't know why but I started observing her like she caught my eye. Her cheeks were a tad sunken in making her cheek bone standout more. Her skin was pale, more like porcelain. Few freckles were spread throughout her nose and cheeks. Her eyes weren't glossy and red anymore but so dull, it was like staring into space because her eye literally contained no color they were black. Her hair was just barely reaching her scrawny shoulders and it was a bleached pink. Her body was scrawny, tiny, petite if people still say that. She was wearing black leggings and a really oversized stained dull and dirty pink shirt.
"Uh. sorry." I shake my head. Her lips are still pressed into a thin smile. I stare at her and gesture my head for her to say something but she continues to stare at me brainless. "Hello?" I ask and wave my hand in front of her face trying to grasp her attention. Finally she shows me a smile with teeth.
"Hi." she says with a lot of enthusiasm. Bubbling with excitement, well, maybe drugs. "We have a project." she smiles and lifts herself off of her heals a few time and continues to stare at me. Okay?
"We have a project toge-"
"Yeah about that." I clasp my hands together in front of my chest. "I'm going to do it. Kay? You don't have to do anything I'm going to do it." I say but she doesn't seem to grasp what I'm saying. God it shouldn't be that hard to realize that you can go over to your group of friends and get high and get the grade. I don't want you fucking up this grade for me.
"Well that's not how a group project works. It's a group project. We both have to work on it." she gestures her hand to the both of us, explaining to me just what a group project is like I don't know anything. After a good five minute argument it was clear I wasn't getting anywhere with the crack head. I let out a frustrated groan and sighed in defeat.
"Fine! Fine! We'll do the section together just shut up." I say and I can't tell if she even knew I insulted her or was just showing no emotion. I brush past her and I can tell she's following me. I can here her tiny footsteps not to far behind me. I nod my head towards some random dude in the hallway, we don't know each other but everyone always says hi. I see a group of cheerleaders and most importantly mine. Two cheerleaders who I don't really care about there names are standing right next to my sexy as fuck girl friend. The tight burgundy cheer uniform tightly wraps around her body. The skirt is short, the tops show stomach and the v part of the shirt shows their boobs but I'm not complaining. As long as the Mad Hatter gets his money he doesn't really care.
"Hey babe." I say as I pull her into a kiss. Now. Things are complicated. I don't really care about Avery or her feelings, I mean she's just for the time being. I don't want a serious commitment or relationship. I just want to have some fun. It's always been a habit of me. I sleep around.
"Hey." she pulls away and smiles at me. "You wanna do something tonight? My parents aren't home." she whispers the last part to me while grabbing the colar of my shirt to pull me closer. I grin at her and just as I'm about to lean in to kiss her I can practically feel the presence of Lee behind me.
"Why'd you stop." she pouts her bottom lip, trying to look seductive but fails miserably. I look over my shoulder and see Lee standing there wither her arms crossed reading a baking club poster tapped to the wall. Wrong kind of baking.
"I have a group project." I told her and she pouts again.
I wink at her friends with earns me a scowl from Avery but I ignore it. I know she wouldn't break up with me and even if she did no one would believe she did it. I whistle and that immediately gets Lee's attention she smiles and starts to following me down the hallway. Finally once we reach the main school doors I can see the court yard. Flooded with people. Right now we're standing on the landing just as you enter the school and I turn towards Lee and sigh.
"Okay. Hand over any drugs you have on you because I don't want any in my car." I demand. I know she wouldn't be stupid enough to bring actual drugs to school I'm just trying to get across I don't want drugs in my car. Before I know it Lee reaches in her shirt and pulls out a plastic baggies just full of paper. I sigh and take them and turn my back to her throwing them in the trash can. I turn back around and Lee's holding up a ziplock Baggie of what my mother would say "green looking herb".
My eyes almost pop out of my socket before anyone could see I grabbed Lee and pressed her body to mine, wrapping my arms tightly around her and she pressed her head into my chest. It was kind of nice, I mean, she has such a small figure. Her bones were so tiny and she felt so fragile.
The Mad Hatter walked out an into the hallway holding so paperwork when I caught his eye, anyone could tell who the pink hair belonged to. He stared at us for a second and raised his eyebrow and I responded with a sheepish smile.
"Uh hi, Mr. Madder, how's it going?" I come up with a question and hopefully he won't ask why I'm holding Lee Evans in my arms.
He continued to stare at us and when Lee tried to pull away I pulled her closer and tighter to my chest.
"Good luck on Fridays game." he slowly said while still staring at us with a raised eyebrow. Finally after observing us in an awkward stare off he turns around and leaves us. Once he was far enough away I pushed Lee back but I didn't let her fall I just kept my hands on her tiny shoulders.
"Are you crazy!?" I yell in whisper, quickly snatching the weed and putting the plastic bag in metal trash can.
"Wait you can't just throw them away those are expensive." Lee yelled earning us a few glances. She made a b-line straight to the trash can.
"No Lee-"I try to pull her away from the can. "Lee." I say again while planting my feet firmly. Finally I grab her by her hips and pull her away from the trash can. Good thing she's so light cause I threw her right over my shoulder.
"Weeeee." she said as I picked her up and then when she landed on my shoulder with an umph.
I began walking down the stairs of the school and to the court yard, getting plenty of stares by people.
"No! No! No! Put me down!" She yelled. I held her legs tightly as she tried to kick but her hands repeatedly hit my back. "That's quality you just through away." she yelled at me once I put her down.
"Lee, you don't need drugs okay." I say calmly and quietly, trying to convince her.
As I put her down she looks angry with her face all red, she brushes her hair out of her face. "You don't know what I need!" She yelled at me and I looked around to see a lot of stares. This is different, not that I ever talked to Lee but for once seeing her upset and frustrated was amusing.
"Come on we're going to work on the project at my house." I state as I grab her hand, pulling her with me and she willingly walks. I see some cheerleaders who were working on pyramids, there jaw hitting the grass. Lee soon forgets about our little fight then begins to hum and skip. Her hair bouncing off her shoulders and she skips past me never letting go of my hand. For a girl having such a small and weak looking body she's oddly strong.
She was humming a tune and making bigger skips pulling me along the yard, zipping bye people.
"Keep up." she turns her head back with a smile and laughs.
"Lee wait." I laugh and almost fall over and loose my balance. I didn't realize where we were until I had locked eyes with Jake.
My little fun and happiness was interrupted when Lee sat down and pulled me with her and her circle of friends.
