"Bye Elma!" Nyomi said goodbye to the last of the girls at 1:12, which wasn't long after she had planned to end her sleepover. Once the car was safely far away in the distance, she pulled out her phone and sent "Heyyyyyyy❤xxxxxxx' to Callux. She impatiently sat on the sofa awaiting his response. Her mother walked through the living room and saw Nyomi staring at her phone expectantly. She smiled to herself, before leaving her daughter be.

'PING!' Callux pulled out his phone to see that Nyomi had texted him. He smiled, but frowned when he saw the message. It was very excessive in kisses and y's, but he put it down to the excitement of the sleepover. He replied with, 'Hey? X', before putting his phone down and paying close attention to the window to see if his father had come to pick him up, but no such luck. Everett had almost sprinted out of the door at 11 when his mother came to pick him up and Tyron had just left. So now it was him and Zayne, sitting in silence while the whispers of Jamie's anime from his headphones settled in their ears. It had been a long night. After what seemed like forever, his mother's car turned up and he sighed in relief. He shot Zayne a 'sorry, bro' look, and Zayne shook his head indicating that it was fine, Callux could go. Callux smiled gratefully before saying goodbye to Jamie's mother and jumping into the passenger seat.

Nyomi stared at the text message, puzzled, before coming to the conclusion that it was a typo, the '?' was actually meant to be '!', surely. She called Callux so she could talk to him, and awaited his answer. Her call was declined, so obviously she called his again. This time, he picked up, and he said, "Nyomi, I'm in the car. What's so important that you need to call me twice?" Nyomi smiled as acutely as she could manage, and told her boyfriend that she just wanted to hear his voice. Callux looked at Nyomi on his phone, weirded out. "Um... ok. Is that it?" Nyomi laughed, and said, "Of course not silly, we need to discuss our relationship." "Relationship?" Callux and his mother said in unison. "Yeah! Now that we're boyfriend and girlfriend I thought-" "Hopd up," Callux cut her off. "You think I'm your boyfriend?!" Nyomi's forehead creased as she drew her eyebrows together. "Um... yes? Don't play dumb, Cal, it's not funny. I'll talk to you later. Bye." Nyomi hung up after that, while Callux sat in his seat, speechless. "Callux O'Sullivan, you and I are going to talk when we get home." Piped up Callux's mother. Callux gulped. "Yes mum." This wasn't going to end well.

"Carlie? What are you doing?"
Carlie laughed nervously. "Oh, uh, hey Everett. Er... do you think I'm too big for this?" Everett looked Carlie dead in the eye. "Too big to fit into a swing that is clearly meant for 3 year olds? Hmm, I'm not sure, you tell me." "Oh ha ha, very funny. Now help me get out. Please," she added as an afterthought. "Not before I take a picture." Carlie yelled at him then, but that didn't stop him. He pulled out his phone and took both a picture and a video of a very embarrassed and disgruntled Carlie stuck in a baby's swing seat. After that, he somehow managed to help Carlie get free, before they sat down at a park bench and Everett asked what the gossip was. Carlie looked at him, and said off-handedly about Nyomi and Callux. Before she could go on though, Everett stopped her. "Wait a minute, Nyomi and Callux? Again? What?" Carlie was surprised at that, since she knew the boys had a sleepover the previous night as well, and would have thought that Callux would have been bragging about it all night. "Shouldn't you know?" She questioned. Everett nodded before Carlie carried on. "There are multiple reasons as to why you should know. 1: The bro code." Everett nodded to signal that she should carry on. "He should have asked you if he could date her first. He knows you two have history, and he should have learned from the first time that he should ask you. 2: It's unlike him to not brag and over-exaggerate about something like this. 3: Why over text? Callum would always do something like that in person. It all seems a bit fishy to me, Ev." Everett, who had stayed quiet, nodding at all of Carlie's points, finally spoke up. "Yes, I don't think it's quite as simple as boy likes girl, girl likes boy, they're together now. I think there's something going on here beneath the surface." "I agree," Carlie reassured Everett. "I'll tackle Nyomi's side of the story, and you work on Callux. Surely if you didn't know anything, no one else was involved, right?" Everett shrugged. "You never know with Callux. I wouldn't be surprised to be honest. But for now, let's just work on those two." They talked about the subject for a little longer, before moving on to other things. Carlie then said that she had to go soon since she was needed in Middleton Town at 4pm. Everett slowly grinned. "Well then," he said, slyly, "LAST ONE TO THE TOP OF THE SLIDE IS A ROTTEN EGG!" Carlie and him both ran, and even though Everett got a slight head start, Carlie won. "Dude. I would beat you in a sack race, never mind a sprinting one. Don't challenge me." They both laughed, and played in the park (that was, technically, made for 8 year olds, but who cares?) for a long while after that, with massive grins on their faces.
