Izaya'z head snapped up, staring at Shizuo as if he were a figment of his imagination. He slowly shut his laptop, eyes not leaving the so affectionately called 'one celled organism' standing before him.

"Shizu-Chan...? What the hell are you doing here?" The raven said, staring at the other curiously while stand up and resting his arms against his desk to steady himself.

Shizuo shook his head, growling under his breath before yelling, "Look at you, you're practically the walking dead! Don't you know how to take care of yourself.

He completely ignored my question... Izaya thought his a strained sigh, waving a hand in the air dismissively. "I'm perfecty fine and I take great care of myse-"

Shizuo pressed a hand firmly against his forehead. "Bullshit; you're running a high fever and you look like you haven't eaten for the last two days." He growled, shaking his head slightly.

He picked up the information dealer, commenting about how under-weight he is and carrying him into his bedroom. He threw him on his bed, covering him with a blanket and running his fingers through his hair. He walked back out, thankful Izaya was in a hoodie and basketball shorts (those count for pajamas) when he arrived.

After spending at least five minutes looking for the kitchen, he finally found it and started looking for supplys. He got out a pan, a box of rice with instructions on it with a flavor package inside of it in his cabinet.

This guy really needs to start eating more... Shizuo sighs, opening the box and reading the instructions on the back, grabbing a measuring cup and a stick of butter.

"Okay... Add two tablespoons of butter and add the rice..." He pours them both into the pan, stirring them until golden brown. "Add the flavor package and two and a half cups of water..." He puts in the flavor package and then adds the water, turning on the timer and stirring it occasionally.

He sighed, wiping the sweat off his brow and putting some rice into a bowl and putting the lid back on the rice, grabbing a fork and walking upstairs. He wasn't even sure what the hell he was doing, helping the flea and catering to him...

He walked into Izaya's room, setting the tray with the food in front of him. He sat at the edge of the bed, staring at Izaya. His face was flushed (due to his high fever) as he stared at the bowl confused.

"Eat something, otherwise you'll pass out." Shizuo said, avoiding the ravenettes gaze.

Izaya picked up the fork, eating some of the rice in small bites as Shizuo watched him curiously. This wasn't the Izaya he's known since high school; this something completely different and it confused the blonde greatly. This Izaya was quiet, frail... He seemed a little more human and surreal than the Izaya Shizuo knew, though he'd never admit he thought the damn flea was anything near human.

I guess it's safe to say that I like this side of Izaya... It's like getting to see something from a different perspective. I guess I never really thought of Izaya having any sort of human feelings or emotions; I know thats what he thinks of me.

"Thank you,"

Shizuo looks to him, a little shocked. He looks farther down, seeing that the louse actually ate all of it. He nodded, mumbling a "your welcome" before taking the bowl and fork downstairs and washing them in the sink.

He scrubbed hard at the already clean bowl, trying to figure out what was wrong with Izaya. He was being thankful and kind to Shizuo. What had he been doing, taking drugs? Shizuo sighed, placing the bowl in the sink, bracing himself again it.

... Probably just the fever... Yeah, thats it...
