Snap I'm late for work. I pray and hurriedly take a cold shower. After putting on my uniform I bang the door and lock it.

As I'm running down the stairs, I bumb into Dan " watch it lady" Dan spits. "I'm sorry and I have been meaning to talk to you about the water issue"

He glares at me

"I think you should call the plumber and the electrician so they could check out what's wrong"

" Don't tell me how to fix my issues" he snarls angrily

" no, ah, I didn't mean to, I'm late bye" I rushed out the entrance door and ran to work.

"it's about time"

" I'm sorry james, won't happen again" I apologize

" it's okay, get to work"

" Hey Luu, here is the registere" he hands me the register

" Hey Thanks Rakish"

" look who's here, everyone the princess has arrived"

" what did I do now Emily" I sigh and take a few menus, order book and a pen.

" oh what did you do?, you made a freaking mess yesterday and I had to clean up your mess"

" I'm sorry" I leave her scowling at Me,

" "Hi,  welcome to pop's dinner I'm Lucrecia and I'm gonna be your waitress for the day, what can I get you sir"

"I'm Tommy and can I get a chicken burger and a cola "

" okay Tommy, coming right up"
I jot down his order has I stroll to the counter

" seems like. You want them all" June folds her arms

" Hey June" I give her a side eye

" first it was Danzel now him" she chirped in

" You can have them all" I retort

" Rakish here's the order" I give him the piece of paper with the order

I wonder what happened to Danzel, what he did was unexpected, giving a stranger a ride, it's not like he owes me anything, I'm the one who owe him for saving me.

"Ouch" I yell as my head hits the floor and the tray flips making the food to topple down.

"oops, I didn't see you there" Emily pouts and walks away her heels clarking the hard floor.

"What was that for"
She keeps on walking like she didn't here a thing
I get up and clean my mess up.

" I'm sorry Tommy, I will pay for that meal and I will bring you another one, I'm really sorry, I tripped, I should watch where I'm going" I rub my nose
Shoot I just rambled

" it's okay, you don't have to, I Will pay for it" He gives  me a smile, I take this as an opportunity to check him out, he  has very long  dreads which he tied in a man bun, he has a sharp jaw line and his muscular. He is cute.

After serving him, he gives  me a fat tip which is surprising because he had to pay for two meals which is my fault.

"Hi,  welcome to pop's dinner I'm Lucrecia and I'm gonna be your waitress for the day, what can I get you guys" this is my last table

" hi Beutiful lady I'm John Pablo but my friends call me JP" he takes my hands, turn to the back of my Palm and gives me a soft kiss.

" nice to meet you"i try to smile

" hi I'm Nail, can i get fries, vegetarian burger and a no sugar coke"

" got it"

" I don't see any need of Introduction but I'm Cherry and I  want green salad and a lemonade, that will be all" one of the girls says

I over hear the group of students planing on a getaway to avary, wow I'm sure, that's how being a normal teenager is like,I huffed, unfortunately I couldn't experience that.

A big part of me was hoping that I would see him today, it's a bummer.

"Thank you for giving me a ride Mcay" I say as I unlock my apartment door

" sure" she winks as she unlockes
hers. We are neighbors, I'm door number 27 and she is number 26.
"wait" I say hesitantly She stops and avert her eyes on me" ahh soo , I was thinking if we could hang out a liltle bit, get to know each other better"

"sure I will be there in a minute"
I take out the remaining snacks and place them on the table with two sodas. I have never had a real friend it would be nice having one, although Macy and I seem very different I'm sure we can make it work, I have to pray for this A knock at the door interrupts my thoughts

" I'm guessing that means come in" Macy asks while she closes the door behind her. She hands me the pack of cards she brought together with some few snacks

" yeah it's Spanish"

" whoah alright who taught you"

" I've had my share of Telemundo telenovels" I chuckle" those are too dramatic" she opens the bag of chips " i like them because I can relate"i plop on the couch next to her and I switch on the tv

" let's play 20 Questions, I will start, how old are you? "

" I'm 19, what about you? "

" I'm 24, girl you are young, where are your parents? "

" dead, I don't even have a single relative "

" I'm sorry about that" she frowns

" it's okay, tell me about your family"

" my dad is a cop, my mom is a nurse and I have two married older sisters and one younger brother who is 10 years old"

" it must be nice having a big family"

" yeah it is, especially during the holidays, but my family gets kinda crazy when we are all together... Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to brag "

" it's okay" I give a small smile

" at least you don't have relatives always asking you when are you getting married" we both chuckle

" how is it going with the salon?" I take a Sip of my soda 

"mooi, once it starts cashing up, I'm getting as far away as possible from this dumbsite" she gulps down the soda left in her can

" I just Wanna earn some money  so I can go to university "

" You  have big dreams"

" yeah yeah"

" Rakish as in the head chef of pop's diner?" her facial expression changed, she looked shocked

" yep him"

" stay away from him, he is a physco" Macy says her voice full of concern

" oh no he is very nice to him" I

" that's because he is taking his medication, maybe he is on a new treatment now" she says in a joking tone

" what are you talking about" I ask confused

" never mind, that's a story for another time, can we go out for drinks tomorrow?"

" on a Wednesday night " I raise an eyebrow
