-9- walking home together

Hinita's POV

I can't believe I got kicked out of practice. It kinda reminds me of when I first got here and me and kageama got kicked out.

A laugh a little in my head at the memory but quickly take the smile off my face returning back to the scenario I've some how gotten myself into.

I take a little glance at Kageama as we walk along side by side. He is looking straight ahead and he looks deep in thought.

"Do you think we should talk?" He asks a moment later braking the silence. I can feel myself starting to sweat. This is exactly what I want to not do.

I don't say anything and I guess he takes that as a sign to keep going.

"What going on with you?"he asks tone calm gaze still looking forward down the road.

Build walls. Keep it in.

"Nothing."I reply without a hint of emotion in my voice. It sounds nothing like it should. What happened to me being happy.

Oh right. Kageama happened.

He stops and turns towards me. I stop too but stare at the ground like it's some ancient artifact in a museum.

"I know something's up. Just tell me." He says. There was real concern in his voice almost like a plead. But I'm not giving in that easy.

"Nothing is wrong." I answer now glaring at the ground. Funny how no matter how many times I say it I still can't believe it.

Kageama let out a little sigh and turns back towards go road, continuing to walk. I follow by his side feeling relief wash over me. Haha yes.

"You know rachel rejected me."he says but not meeting my eyes.

"Yeah I know." I answer barley above a whisper. He continues.

"I'm not really that upset about it. I thought it would hurt more." I'm not really sure how to rest to that so I just nod my head and return my gaze to my feet.

"I think I know why." He says. That caught my attention and I glance up, our eyes meeting.

My breath catches in my throat but I force out a strained "why?"

He stops for a second time and I do to but this time we're facing each other staring into each other's eyes.

I'm not really sure if I'm breathing right now.

"I think there's someone else I like more." He whispers, slowly lowering his head so it's at my level.

"Really?" I squeak out not really sure what more I can stay. I've pretty much stopped functioning the moment he started lowering his head.

"Yeah." Is all he whispers before his lips meet mine. My eyes flutter closed and I melt into his touch.

He brings his hands to my cheeks and deepens the kiss. I don't know what was happening but my walls were crumbling.

Every one of them.

We break apart and my cheeks turn bright red. Kageama's face is still only centenaries apart.

I give him a small smile and he returns it. He drops his hands from my face and I instantly miss the warmth of his touch.

But not for long. He grabs my hand and continues to walk. I'm still trying to wrap my head around what the HECK just happened.

I glance down at our joined hands and my face flushed again. My smile grows a little and I look back up at Kageama.

He is already looking back at me and we both blush and look down at the ground.

I look over at Kageama from the corner of my eye and he dose the same. We both blush a deeper shade and look back down at the ground.

I'm with the one I love. Things are finally working out.

Ok so one more chapter after this and then it will be all done!!! I'm going to miss writing this one but that's ok.
