(y/n) p.o.v

I am still lying on my bunk trying not to think about how perfect Luke's freckles are when a knock snaps me back to sanity.

"Who is it?" I yell, not really in the mood for anyone except...

"It's me." Luke. The one person I wanted to see. Butterflies swarm in my stomach as I open the door. He smiles at me and I smile back. Man, I love that smile.

"Ravi and I are headed down to the spot and I'm taking my basketball. Wanna join us?" It must be my imagination, but he sounds nervous.

"Sure, let me just grab my shoes." I tell him.

Luke p.o.v

We break through the last of the trees and step into a clearing. (y/n) is still giggling at a joke I made. Man, I love that laugh. She sees something that makes her stop laughing abruptly. I look up too and see three morons from Camp Champion, our fiercest rivals. (y/n) groans.

"What do you want, Eric? It's our turn at The Spot." She growls, stepping closer to them. I've never seen her like this, but I kinda like it. But, I get the feeling that these two have a history.

"Oh yeah? Says who?" Eric's taller than her, so when he steps closer she has to look up at him. Ravi decides to but in, probably to stop them having a full on brawl.

"Actually, the sign-up sheet!" He says picking it up off the old truck and showing it to him.

"Oh..." he sounds, interested before throwing the clipboard and pen across the clearing.

"Hey! That was my favorite anti gravity pen!" Ravi whines and I pull him back, shaking my head in embarrassment.

"You know what?" (y/n) is getting pissed. "We're done sharing The Spot. If you want it, you're gonna have to fight for it." She snaps at them. Eric looks at his two goons and shrugs, before getting in her face.

"Bring it on, princess." I want to punch him so hard, but she beats me to it, slapping him across the face and kicking him where it hurts. I wince in sympathy, before laughing at his misery. Ravi steps in again.

"I'm sure (y/n) did not mean bare-fist brawling, like cavemen. I was thinking more like a spelling bee." I sigh and whisper in his ear.

"He doesn't look like the sort that can manage a spelling bee, bro."

"I know, why did you think I said that?" He whispers back.

"How about a sports competition." Eric says more than asks.

"Archery or nothing." (y/n) bargains. He thinks, before nodding.

"Deal. No one is allowed at The Spot until after the competition."

"Sure." She replies and we all shrug before heading back to camp to break the news.
