Adventures in Babysitting

Mario's

(Luce POV)

We all get off the bus and we start the short walk to Mario's. AJ getting there first since she has blades on. 'Man she is so much like Sara.' I think to myself. We walk into the restaurant me still standing next to Lola. "Trey Anderson freeze." Jenny says as we walk to a table full of boys. "Who's that?" Some kids question. "His babysitter." Another kid answers. "You have a babysitter? I want a babysitter. She's hot." A red head kid says and I roll my eyes. "Hey Jenny, you look great." The kid known as Trey says. "Please don't rat me out Jenny, I'll be grounded for life." Trey says. "Probably till you're 18." Lola says and I nod with her. "Technically, I'm your babysitter, so thanks for making me look bad, by the way." Lola says and Jenny turns to her. "You don't need help for that." Jenny says and I gape. "But who's she? She's new." A kid at the table says pointing at me. I look at them and see all of the boys including Trey are looking at me. "Lucia but call me Luce." I say crossing my arms. "Come on Trey let's go." Jenny says and Trey stands up. "But what about the concert?" Trey asks and Jenny turns to him. "There's no way you're going to that concert. Besides, we have much bigger problems to deal with now." Jenny says and I nod with her. "Jenny got Mom's new car towed." Bobby says and Trey looks shocked. "You drove my mom's car into the city?" Trey asks and Jenny looks annoyed.

"To get you, and now we need $100 to get it back by midnight." Jenny says and Lola speaks up. "I don't suppose any of you losers have money?" Lola asks and I nod with her. "I spent it all on tickets." Trey says and an idea pops into my head. "That's it. Why don't we just scalp Trey's ticket to get the cash for the car?" I say with a huge smirk on my face. "You mean, sell it ourselves?" Jenny says and I nod. "Exactly. Brilliant idea sis." Lola says fist bumping me. "Wait it's mine." Trey says. "Oh, cool. So you wouldn't mind explaining to your mother that her car got towed and her children spent the night sitting on a cold park bench in the city. I have a idea. Why don't we just call her now, shall we? Oh, Helen." Lola says getting the paper dialing her number but she doesn't press call. "This is so not fair." Trey says and Lola smirks. "Life isn't fair kid." Lola says turning off her phone. "Jenny I really have to go to the bathroom." Katy says crossing her legs. "Okay. Everyone stay put." Jenny says taking Katy to the bathroom. Emily went to the tattoo place, Lola is looking through her camera, and Bobby and AJ are looking through the juke box. I turn to place my headphones on when Trey sits next to me. "Sup." He says and I nod in acknowledgement. I grab my phone to find some songs. "So I'm Trey." I look at him. "I know dork Jenny told us and your mom and sister told me while I was over there." I say and Trey looks at me confused. "How did you meet my mom and sister?" He asks and I giggle a bit. "You see her?" I ask pointing at Lola. He nods. "That is my older sister, we do everything together." I say and he gapes. "Now I see it." He says and I shake my head. 

We sit there for a while in silence until I see Tiny and Scalper, I stand up and I see Bobby running to Jenny and Lola. "Uh Jenny?" Bobby asks. "What Bobby?" Jenny asks. "Don't let them get me!" Bobby says and she sees Tiny and Scalper we run out of Mario's and off into the night. Trey runs next to me. "Why are the pawn shop guys after us?" He asks and I look at Bobby. "Bobby stole a candy bar." I say with an eye roll. "So give it back!" Trey says and Bobby looks worried. "I can't I licked it!" Bobby says and I giggle at him. We continue running for a while. "Bobby!" Jenny shouts. "Come on!" I exclaim as we see a building. "There. Go this way." Lola says and we rush inside and close the door. We go towards a dry cleaners and we hide. "We know you're in here." Tiny says. "Just wanna have a reasonable conversation." Scalper says. "Yeah, we're very reasonable people." Tiny says and I roll my eyes. "We locked the doors. There's no way out." Scalper says and I scoff quietly. "Very reasonable." I mutter to myself. "Get down. Lola." I hear Jenny say and I see my sister up and trying to grab something. "No way out! We're not leaving till we get that camera." Scalper says and I see Lola with a confused look on her face. "My camera?" Lola questions. "These guys are crazy." I whisper. "We need to find another way out." Jenny says and Lola looks over and smirks. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Lola questions and I turn and see a bunch of jumpsuits hanging and I smirked. I helped Katy and AJ into a suit while Trey helped Bobby, I got into one and I stayed dead silent.

"That's them!" Tiny yells and I look over and see them chasing us while we're in the suits. Eventually they get tired of chasing us and we run to the very back and before Lola and I can run further, Jenny grabs our wrists. "Woah." I say looking down. "There's no way out." Jenny says. "Yeah, there is. There's an awesome way out." Trey says holding a chain. "Oh, yeah!" Trey says. "No, no, no." Jenny says. Trey sets up the chain and AJ comes over. "Are you ready?" Trey questions her and AJ nods. "You bet." She said and she jumped off the ledge and landed slowly. "Wow." I say as Trey brings the chain up.
