(2nd Person POV)
You and Eugene were chilling on the couch one night, watching some Law and Order on the television. As you scrolled through your phone, you kept seeing these pictures of all the people who built relationships during the apocalypse getting married, and even more pictures of their kids. You couldn't help but look at the boy next to you who was fixated on the show, eating BQQ chips (of course). He had been a lot more open to you since the time you started dating. He even somehow manages to hold back from pretending to be annoyed with you now.As you look at him, you wonder if you'd ever have that with him. I mean, he already kind of is a child himself. You'd just have a bunch of babies, including him, in the house if you ever had kids.
Suddenly, his gaze refocused onto you, noticing that you were staring at him. You quickly looked away, your eyes still kind of wide, and tried to watch TV, but all you could think about was wether or not Eugene had noticed you staring. Then, he walked up and threw the chip bag away. When he came back, he brought and blanket with him, and he sat really close to you. I'm talking "you could straight up feel each others sides down to the thighs" close. He gently lifted up his arm, and put it around your shoulder, hugging you closer so that your head would fall onto his shoulder.
Eugene gave you stares from the corners of his eyes, his head still facing the tv, though you never really realized that he was watching you that whole time. He kept watching to make sure you didn't start crying or anything, because he saw the sad look in your eye when he caught you staring, and wanted to make sure you were feeling alright.
"Hey, y/n?"
"Yeah Bunny?"
"I told you to stop calling me that..."
"Doesn't mean it's not still funny."You giggled a little at that, earning a sly smile from Eugene. He then pulled you up and onto his lap. Your legs kneeled at the sides of his torso, facing him with your arms wrapped around his shoulders. He took off his cap and put it on top of your head, and adjusted it to make it stay there, then he slid his hands back down to your sides, and gripped them tight enough to make sure you didn't fall off.
"I want you to tell me why you were staring at me earlier."
A deep blush came up on your face. You weren't prepared to have this talk yet, and definitely didn't know how he would react. Both things you were terrified about.
"Eugene... are you sure?"
"Would I ask if I wasn't?"You took in a deep sigh, scrunching your lips together, and shaking your head no. You thought of a couple of starters into the conversation, then tried to spit out what you could.
"Ok...Well, I was just looking through social media annnddd... there was a bunch of pictures with people who just got married, and their cute little kids." A small, bittersweet smile came up on your face as you finished that sentence.
"...And you wonder if I want that too, don't you?" He said, looking up and deep into your eyes. You nodded your head, and heard him sigh a little. Suddenly, he stood up, you still in his arms. You tightened your legs and arms around him, giving him a bit of a shocked look.
"Well, the marriage part we'll definitely have to take care of later, but as for the kids part, I say we start right now!" He exclaimed, raising one eyebrow with a sweet smile, making sure to get closer to your face so you could feel his breath on your skin.
"You're one sneaky son of a bitch Eugene... but lucky for you, I find this sneaky son of a bitch incredibly enticing." You giggled, poking him in the chest. He chuckled under his breath, then took you away for the rest of the entire night.
