A scream, similar to a girls, came out from the boy as he was thrown into the water. His older brother laughed at him and his girly scream, but he wasn't laughing long when he realized that his brother was drowning. His eyes were wide with fear as he watched his father dive in to get his little brother from the water. He watched as his mother cried, and his father tried to revive the lifeless body.
One.
Two.
Three.
Time seemed to slow down as everything was happening. He couldn't think, he couldn't even breathe. His brother laying down on the ground dead because of him.
Finally, after it seemed like forever, the small boy coughed up water. His breathing was labored and he was crying.
All heads turn as they heard the older brother fall to the ground and beg them for forgiveness. Nobody moved, nobody even dared to breathe too loud. All anyone could hear was, "Mizu, Mizu. Please forgive me, please don't hate me," coming from the eldest brother.
"I don't hate you, but I can't forgive you," Mizu spoke, softly.
That night the oldest brother was gone along with all of his stuff. Just a note was left.
Dear mom, dad, and Mizu,
Maybe I shouldn't have left, but I don't think I can stay. I'm leaving for college in a couple of months anyways. Don't look for me, and don't worry. I'm staying with a friend for awhile. I'm sorry.
