♡⟡° || BACKGROUND ——— eunji and jaemin joined sm at the same time and even attended the same audition. from the time the two met, they were super close friends and seemed to do everything together. when they first met, they both saw eachother as just really close friends. but as they got older they started to feel more, both of them developed crushes on eachother. eventually on the special day of april 28th, under the cherry blossoms (ik it sounds cheesy but that's how jaemin planned it) jaemin asked eunji to be his girlfriend, and she happily accepted. of course the relationship wasn't super serious, as they were only teenagers at the time, but they were happy, and that's what mattered. they went all the way to january 2016, this was when things took a turn. jaemin was preparing for debut and eunji had reached her breaking point with sm, and they decided that it would be best to break up, for their careers. they agreed to stay friends, and they did, for the 3 years they were apart they had gone back to their early days, they were just best friends again. but to be honest, the feelings never left. both of them had strong feelings for eachother, but their careers got in the way. around 2019, eunji had been an idol for a year and was starting to stabilize her career and jaemin was into his 3rd year, he was out of the rookie phase. the two both saw this a great opportunity to maybe try and patch up what they had before. so once again, under the cherry blossoms (cheesyyyyy) on the special day of april 28th, jaemin confessed his feelings to eunji again, and eunji accepted them.
