(A quick note before I begin, I was supposed to update this last week but with my skills in procrastination, it didn't happen. So a few days late here we go)
Walking in the hall Nami looked around. There were lots of people there, some parents and whatnot. She guessed a lot of these kids had impressive quirks, that was a given as they were applying to U.A's hero program. She got a quick glimpse at a few as some kids were busy showing off. Following the main flow of kids who were filing into a large auditorium. Slipping in she registered her name and received a piece of paper with her information on it stating her name a few other personal details. She had already completed the written part and seeing as she was still here for the second practical exam, she must've passed....somehow. Picking a seat amongst a large group of people giving a quick polite smile to the people sitting next to her before returning her attention to the front of the room. Soon enough the lights flashed, and all the talking stopped. Present Mic soon made his appearance with everyone around her quietly whispering amongst themselves. 'I didn't know he'd be here' 'I can't believe I'm meeting a pro hero'. Rolling her eyes, she tuned out all the talking, even Present Mic's explanation. It was all written on the pamphlet she found on the desk. Soon enough the boring part was over, and the fun was soon to begin. They all headed off to the different exam sites changing out of uniforms beforehand. Luckily for her, she didn't forget her active clothes because she was wearing them. The plus side of being lazy. With her school uniform stuffed back in her bag, she took a moment to stretch outside her exam site gate. Black shorts and an All Might Shirt she didn't' really stand out. Looking around at some of the other examinees she was taken aback by one in particular. "Ummm did someone lose their child....there is a child walking around" she said gaining the attention of the person beside her.
"Your right....why is no one doing anything about a toddler here?" He said. He was really the only one who had heard her seeing as she didn't scream about the literal child walking around acting like they belonged there. "Oh, I'm Kaminari Denki, but a pretty lady such as yourself can just call me Denki."
Nami nodded looking over, "I'm Nanami but everyone calls me Nami" she introduced. Not even a second after she had mentioned her name everyone had taken off running. Looks like the exam had begun. And the child she had seen before was running with the crowd. "This has to be a mistake, he's just a kid" she said quickly running after the group. From what she read the exam site with everyone using their quirks and giant robots, it was to dangerous for a child. Nothing was said but she could hear footsteps behind her and the only other person behind her was Denki. Rounding a corner both Denki and Nami found the kid frozen in place a 2-point robot approaching. "Oh no you don't" she growled running closer. Wrapping her arms around the child she pushed one arm out using a powerful gust of air to push the robot into a building. Denki jumped in front of her sending a bust of electricity out. The robot now short circuiting and crushed. "You two ok?" he asked.
"Yeah, yeah we're....fine" she said pausing. This kid was, no it had to be her head. But she was sure this random kid was feeling her chest up. Looking down, and now getting a better look at said child, it was very clear this was no child. Just a freakishly short, purple bubble haired boy. "Alright that's enough" she said grabbing the 'kid' and trowing him off her. He was too busy laughing weirdly and zoning out to notice he was flying towards a wall. "That's the last time I help a child" she muttered the constant smashing and shouting from the other examinees catching her attention. "Thanks for the backup, I'll see you in class....seeing if we pass" she laughed giving a small mock salute in Denki's direction before taking off to go find some points for herself.
As the exam went on, she found it harder to find any bots. She had racked up a few 1 pointers and tag teamed a few 2 pointers. She didn't really have time to think she was stuck in auto piolet take down a robot, move onto the next target, and repeat. U.A isn't the only school she wanted to go to. She had applied to several others; unlike her brother she didn't hedge her bets on one school. Though that didn't mean she didn't want to go to U.A. By the time she heard the siren, indicating that the 0-point distraction had been deployed, she was panting and having trouble holding any kind of air in her lungs. Looking around she spotted Denki shocking the circuits out of an already destroyed bot and several others scrounging around for any more points. Deciding that was the right thing to do she quickly looked around, even if it was in pieces if the robot moved it was crushed.
And just like that the exam was over. The moment Present Mic's voice sounded out she collapsed to the ground gasping. "That exam....exam was...fuc" she panted before a goofy voice laughed and shouted language. Lifting her head, she spotted Denki, though he looked like a god dammed caveman or was missing a severe amount of brain cells. Giving up on any kind of conversation she laid her head back on the ground.
Leaving the site after Recovery Girl gave everyone the all clear she slowly walked home just wanting to go to bed. Grabbing her bag, she slowly started to walk home only being made to stop when a hand grabbed the scruff of her shirt. "And what do you think your doing here?" a very recognisable voice asked.
"You never asked me what schools I'm applying to, so I didn't tell you. Why? Upset you might have to share the spotlight?" She asked with a chuckle. "Calm down Katsuki I don't think I did all that well any way."
Her brother scoffed and she swore she could hear him role his eyes. He let her go and the two continued walking home. "How'd your test go?" she asked only to have her brother reply in a growl. "That damm Deku was there, you remember that quirkless bastard" was as far as he got before he let off a few explosions in his hand.
"Alright alright calm down that angst." And it was this comment that the two paused at.
"Because I have to live with you, I'll give you 1 second." Katsuki started lowly prompting Nami to take off running.
Somehow Nami made it back to the house without dying or being assaulted. Now began the fun part of entrance exams waiting. But unlike most she didn't have to sit back and stress or worry about her acceptance. In fact, she had a few other entrance exams she was doing so it helped take her mind off the possibility of flunking. Several days go by until finally both the siblings get letters in the mail. Wanting some privacy, Nami took hers to her room. She didn't need Katsuki leaning over her shoulder the whole time.
Taking a breath, she opened the letter revealing a small disc. Only to have a projection of All Might start yelling at her. Freaking out she let out a yell of her own and pushed away only to fall backwards out of her chair. Honestly, she didn't listen to the speech All Might was giving. On a normal day she would've listened but the only thing she cared about was if she did well enough. "Nanami Bakugo, 20 villain points, 25 rescue points......Welcome to U.A!" That was all she remembered. 'I..I made it....I made it into U.A' she thought her mind having to process what she just heard. After a few minutes of quiet a knock sounded on her door. "I'm sure you can tell from the noise but Katsuki made it" her dad spoke up sticking his head in. "Well then looks like you'll have two pro heroes in this house soon" Nami cheered jumping up.
