(Tylers POV)

"CLANG, CLANG, CLANG"

I swung the hammer onto the giant nail of the new fence being built by Grandpa Jack and I. I stopped to wipe the sweat dripping from my face. The cool breeze cooled me down. It's a lot harder than you think, I used to think it was as easy as cake watching Grandpa Jack do it when I was a child.

"You're doing a better job than your dad ever did when he was about your age" Grandpa Jack said with a smirk on his face.

"Thanks grandpa, I'm sure dad was quite the lazy man" I laughed.

We lived in a small town so everyone knew each other. I always thought about moving to somewhere with more people but I was just too connected to the rural area we lived in. I love the farms atmosphere, the city is too noisy and polluted for my liking.

"CLANG CLANG CLANG" I continued my job.

Just as I was about to swing again something caught my eye. I stopped as I scanned the old rusted Toyota Land Cruiser ute pulling into the driveway of uncle Reids house. The car parked and the drivers door opened as a young girl hopped out. She looked like she was in her twenties.

My first thought was that she was just another one of Uncle Reids hot girlfriends he would sweet talk. But she didn't seem like his type and she looked way too young for him.

She was beautiful from head to toe, I just couldn't take my eyes off of her. I was so distracted that I almost didn't see the little beagle hop out the ute and sit by her side. One of the most adorable dogs I have seen.

I scanned her from the distance, her long beautiful hair swayed as the wind blew. It was almost as if someone was following her around with a hairdryer making sure that her hair flowed perfectly. She was average height with a slim body. Her skin was slightly tanned and her hair was a chocolate brown colour with velvet red tips. It really suited her.

Usually we get real girly girls in their pink clothes and high heels randomly show up to stay with their families or with my Uncle but this girl was different, there was nothing majorly girly about her, she wore ripped blue jeans, black and white converse and an off black short singlet.

"AHEM" I turned around realising grandpa Jack had caught me checking this girl out. "Care to explain yourself" Grandpa Jack said wriggling his eyebrows at me. "Sorry Grandpa I'll get right back to work" I said while grabbing the hammer to continue.

"Her name is Leah she's twenty one and has come to live in town. Her parents sent her here thinking it would be good for her as a lot of things back home have been stressing her. She knows Uncle Jack through a friend so don't worry they aren't involved" Grandpa winked.

I felt like Grandpa was being my wingman or something.

"I saw the way you looked at her, it was the same way your dad looked at your mum when he first met her, I really think you should go talk to her" grandpa smiled. I blushed, did Grandpa really see the way I looked at her?

Dad and Mum live in the city with my younger sister Molly. They weren't real big fans of the farm they much rather preferred the city, unlike me. When I turned eighteen I had the choice of living at home or on the farm with Grandpa and Grandma. I must admit it was hard to leave the people I had been living with for eighteen years. But it did make it easier for Grandpa after Grandma died 3 years ago plus I love it here, and next month will be my 4th year of living on the farm.

I have my own little house on the farm so its like I'm living on my own. But Grandpa was right, I seemed to take a liking to this girl and it would be nice to get to know her.

(Leah's POV)

I pulled into Reids old tar driveway and parked next to an old oak tree. I hopped out and Charlie followed me like a shadow and automatically sat beside me. It was quite windy and my hair blew all over the place. I was quite nervous and wondered if I would fit in here. Reid welcomed me with a massive hug. I hope everyone is as nice as him.

"This place sure is beautiful" I mentioned. "You're going to love it here and I'm sure everyones going to like you just as much as I do" Reid smiled.

We hopped back into my ute and Reid directed me to a little old house on the hill that will become my home for however long I stay here. It was quite small and was made completely with brick, I guess they get too many bush fires around here for it to made of wood like they used to be years and years ago.

The vehicle stopped and I opened my door. Charlie leaped out as quick as lightning. "Charlie" I laughed. Reid helped me with my luggage and gave me a tour around the house.

Everything was set perfectly I felt right at home, this was one of the houses that was quite far from most. I liked the privacy and I knew it would help with my stress levels. It was also closest to the horse stables which I loved and I was keen of all the riding I will get up to. Charlie was really loving it here and I knew i would too.
