Chapter 3

Equinox’s POV

I asked for the information my butler gathered from that woman. I want to know more about her. She doesn’t even know that she cannot escape the marriage because she caught my attention. She is interesting, really. I drop her off in their mansion. For sure, iniisip niya na kung paano ko nalaman ang bahay nila. She’s definitely mumbling about it.
After a long ride, we have reached our mansion. Mr. James helped me to get out of the car and gent into my wheelchair. Itinulak na nila ako papasok sa mansion.

“Nox, you came back!”

“Gumugol si ama ng panahon para mapabalik lang siya dito”

"It’s not his faultsince he cannot walk or speak. It’s not easy to come back”

“We can’t feel what he feels”

“Hahaaahah you are right brother.”

Pinagtutulungan na naman nila ako. Well, I don’t care. BTW they are my brothers. Equin and Equil Sandoval.
“Equinox”

Kakababa palang ni ama kasama ang bago niyang asawa na si Michonee.

“Dad! Sit here”

“Dad here’s your tea” ~ mga pabida talaga kahit kalian hysss

“How are you feeling Nox?” ~ father asked me habang humihithit ng kanyang pipette

I get my pen and paper. I wrote “same as usual”. They just read what I wrote and they all nodded.

“The Cortez Family has an only daughter. She is only 18 years old. Who wants to marry her?” ~ pagputol ni ama ng katahimikan

No one answered. Equin and Equil remain silent.

“When you met Mr. Cortez this morning, you intended to arrange a marriage for equinox, right? ~ Michonee interrupted

Hindi maipinta ang mukha ng mga kapatid ko. They are shocked.
“Nox, how do you think?”

The moment father asked me that question she immediately comes into my mind. Kung paano niya ako iniligtas at kung paano niya ako laitin nung nasa kotse kami. She keeps running into my mind since that day she saved me. So, bakit hindi ako papayag sa alok ng aking ama? There’s nothing wrong if I agree with the marriage.

“I think Nox is afraid that he will hurt that girl. Dad! Minsan na akong nakipag divroce so I think I can be serious about marriage now. Besides, I heard that the girls preferred experienced men now. Experienced man and an innocent girl are the best combination.” Sabat ni Equil.

“I may have a lot of affairs but maybe I can a good husband after marriage. Equil, Hindi siya tulad ng ibang babaeng inaakala mo. She is from a well-known family sigurado akong matinong babae ang Ms. Cortez na yun” si Equin naman ngayon ang gustong magpakasal sa kanya.

“Enough! Nox, what do you think?” father disregard the thoughts of my brothers about marrying that Corpuz.
Since I’m a disabled man, after marrying a wife whose family is wealthy I’m still not qualified para palitan si ama sa kanyang posisyon sa aming kumpanya. However, kung hindi ako ang mapapakasalan niya she may end up in a miserable life.

“It is important to know your limitations. Maybe, someone is not for you to marry anyway” sabat na naman ni Equil. It seems like he really want to pursue marrying that Corpuz. I know my limitations and I know how to handle it.

No one dare to speak while I am writing. They are waiting for my answer. Pinunit ko ang papael at inilagay ito sa lamesa at tinalikuran ko na sila. Bago ako makalabas ay narinig ko pang nagtanong si Equin kung ano ang isinulat ko. Well, I just agreed that I will marry Wynona Antoinette Corpuz.
