Whatever Happened to Forever

Chapter 1

Danielle's P.O.V.

It was going to be my first day in college in 3 days and I was already nervous. Pacing across my room, chewing my nails, and checking my list, over and over again, just to make sure everything will be exactly the way its supposed to go, the first day at least.

"Danielle! Stop pacing around your room like a maniac! Sit down and relax for your last couple days at home." My mom tells me.

"How am I supposed to relax?!?! My first day is 3 days away and your telling me to relax! I don't even have my outfit planned out! Mom, can I go shopping with Janelle?" I ask.

"Only if her family says she can." Mom answers leaving the room.

Janelle has been there for me since 5th grade, never leaving my side, even through all the bullies, drama, and crap that occurs growing up.

I start texting Janelle as soon as I heard her answer.

"hey, ya wanna go shopping"

I start getting ready putting on my stone washed jeans shorts and navy tank with my colorful crop top, and I hear my phone ring, sure to be an answer from Janelle...

"fam said its fine"

As I said the answer I quickly typed back...

"K, be there in an hour"

As soon as I sent my message she answered in return...

"Kk see ya then"

I curled my platinum blonde hair real quick and pulled out all my make up. I put some concealer on some of my acne blemishes and set it with some powder. I put some rosy blush on the apples of my cheeks and defined my eyebrows. Cream eyeshadow to base the eye look, then some brown in the crease, and some black just to deepen the natural smokey eye. Then, some black eyeliner to create a winged look. I finish with some mascara and put on a coat of my classic red lipstick. Once I slip on my white Converse and grabbed my Kavu in the color "Atlantis," I run out the house, jump into my black Chevy Camaro, and head to Janelle's house.

I arrive at her house and see her figure run outside her beautiful home and toward my car, which is in her driveway ready to be driven to the mall. As soon as she reaches my car she jumps in and squeals.

"Our first day of college is right around the corner. I cant wait!!"

"You dont sound nervous. I am a WRECK!! I don't even know my schedule yet, how am I supposed to plan what I need to buy for my new classes. I mean I want to make a good first impression. Did I already say I was ner-" I start to ramble when Janelle stops me mid-sentence.

"Chill, and yes you already mentioned you were a little nervous so just chill out. Kay?"

"Fine....." I responded

"Okay, now lets head into the mall and get our shopping on." She says back in her cheerful mood.

We head into the mall and head straight to my personal favorite store for jeans or shorts, American Eagle. I find some shorts that I really like and grab a pair that are dark red and then go to the register to purchase them.

As we are waiting, Janelle and I continue to talk. She brings up the subject of meeting guys at the university.

"I bet there are a bunch of cute guys."

"I don't think I should be focused on that just because I want to focus on school first and get my career going before I get interested in having someone else in my life that could cause distractions."

"Oh come on Dani, it's college!"

"Yeah it's still a type of school I have to go through."

"Whatever, enjoy being single. I am going to enjoy my college experience unlike you."

"Okay, have fun not graduating as early as me."

As soon as I ended my sentence I was at the register and I bought my new pair of shorts.

We rush to the LookBook store and find a really pretty crop top that has red and black patterns all over it. It has a criss cross back and reaches the top of my shorts. I buy it and I decide to wear my white converse for my first day. We head to my car to drive home.
