"What? What's the plan?" Liam asked, curiosity in his voice.

"Okay, we're going to have a surprise, let's say last minute tour in the US in every city. EVERY city. We will not leave the US until we've performed in every single city. Before every show, we'll search citywide for Lyann, and if we find her, I'll tell her how I feel before it's too late and everything will be fine, unless we take too long and she comes home and her feelings for me completely disappear. Are you up for the challenge?" I asked, waiting for a response.

"We're going to tour all 19,355 cities in the US?! That's not possible! We can't be gone for that long...!!" he replied.

"Okay, maybe not every city. Maybe only 3 cities in every state..so that's going to take how long...?" I wondered, checking if Liam knew the answer.

"Okay, so there are 50 states in the US...50 multiplied by 3 is...150..so we're going to take 150 days....that's....about 5 months." Liam replied, and I immediately got 1000 times more worried.

"5 months to find her? That's going to take too long! We need to find her as soon as possible!" I spat into the phone in nervousness.

"Well, apparently 5 months is as soon as possible..." Liam sighed.

"Okay, well if that's the case, that's fine. Tell Harry, Louis, and Zayn what the plan is." I replied.

"Okay, mate. We'll find her, don't worry. I'll call you back later to tell you what they think of the plan. Bye." he said, hanging up.

"Don't worry, Lyann..." I said, as if she were there, right next to me. "...we'll find you..."

Lyann's P.O.V.

I knocked on the door of my former house and stood there, waiting. The door opened and I was glad to see my mom standing on the other side of the door.

"Lyann...what are you doing here?" my mom asked, clearly in doubt that I was standing there, right before her eyes.

"I'm here to visit for 6 months to make up for all of the time that I wasn't here." I replied, pulling her into a big hug.

"Well, I'm glad you finally decided to come home. I've been missing you for so long when you moved to the UK 5 years ago to live with your friends." she sighed, blinking back tears.

"Aw, mom, it's okay, I'm here now..." I said, rubbing her back in comfort.

"Well, Lyann, come in!" she smiled, opening the front door wider, in welcome.

I noticed an unfamiliar girl sleeping on the couch. Her eyes were closed lightly and her chest was rising and falling from breathing. She had curly, dirty blond hair that fell right passed her shoulders. Man, was she making me feel insecure about myself..

"Uh, mom?" I asked, tapping my mom's shoulder lightly.

"Yeah, Lyann?" she replied.

"Who's this?" I asked, pointing to the beautiful girl resting on the couch.

"This is Kristiana. I found her wandering clueless on the streets when I was taking my morning walk around the town. She said that her whole family had just died in a car crash and that she had no where to live now that she lost her family. I offered to take her in as long as she needs to, and if she still has no one to live with, I was thinking I could maybe adopt her and she could be your sister...you know, since you always used to dread about being an only child before you moved to the UK..." she replied, waiting for an answer.

"That'd be amazing! I finally have a sister! Now I know I'll never go back to the UK!" I shouted with glee, hugging my mom.

"Wait, you're staying here forever?" she asked, pulling away.

"Yeah...is that...not okay with you?" I asked, looking a her in confusion.

"No! I think it'd be wonderful for you to stay! I can't believe I finally have my Lyann back!" she smiled, pulling me in for another hug.

Then I realized. Absence makes the heart grow fonder...

So by moving to the US, I'm letting myself fall MORE in love with Niall than I already am?

I can't keep falling. Someone needs to catch me...but it can't be Niall. I know he hates me.

"So, are you going to wake Kristiana up and introduce her to me?" I asked, walking over to the couch.

"Ah, yes!" she said, gently shaking the sleeping beauty.

"Oh...hi mom...who's this? Is..this..Lyann?" she asked in a tired, morning voice.

"Why yes it is. And you called me mom...does that mean you're staying with us forever?" mom asked, hopeful.

"Of course. I love your hospitality. It'd be awesome to stay with you and Lyann. Oh, and, hi Lyann, I'm--"

"Kristiana, I know." I smiled, cutting her off.

"Well, your mom, well, now our mom, has told me a lot of cool things about you. You seem like an awesome person. You're just like me! I think we'll get along just fine." Kristiana smiled.

"Hold on girls, I just need to get the paperwork to make the adoption official. Be right back." mom said, walking out the door and shutting it behind her. Once she closed the door, I heard a car door slam shut, and an engine start. I guessed she already left.

"So, Kristiana, what do you wanna do now?" I asked, smiling.

"Well, tell me more about yourself. Do you have any friends?" she replied.

"Yeah. One Direction. And if you don't believe me, here's a video of me with them...it's in my phone...we made a video diary together but we didn't upload it onto YouTube." I said, handing her my phone.

Her eyes widened as she started to believe me. Then I saw her dialing someone's phone number.

"What are you doing?" I asked her.

"Dialing Niall's phone number.." she replied, holding my phone up to her ear.

"Oh, I see...you like Niall, don't you?" I asked.

"A lot. I'm a huge Directioner!!" she smiled, jumping up and down.

Well, I see now that we're going to have a sibling rivalry...

"Well...I do too....I love him to pieces..." I blushed, looking down.

"Aw, that's sweet, but hun, he's mine. He'll never like you. I mean, you're...average. And I'm...over the top!" she smiled, flipping her hair.

Oh no. So much for having an awesome sister...

I see how it is now....

I guess she's right...

I don't deserve him.

Well, I now realize that she was probably the most popular girl in her old school...you know, one of those girls who can get anything they want by the snap of her fingers. And when she did get what she want, she had it handed to her on a silver platter.

I guess that's it.

She already wins.
