She looked up at me and placed the pen down. "Yeah, it's okay. I'm alive, aren't I?" She joked. "I--And I just left...You could've died." I realized. "But I didn't. Don't blame yourself. It's okay, Harry." She reassured. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay. I promise. The house is fine and holding a family of four. Legend says the smoke detector still goes off to this day," Journey laughed. I chuckled. At least there are no hard feelings. "So what about you? Any kids yet?" I asked. She shook her head. "No men, no women, and definitely no kids. Not yet anyway."
My mind wandered off. What would we look like if we were still together? I'm sure I would've proposed by now. How could you not propose to her? "Have you made bread with Kendall yet?" Journey asked, sketching the ring. "She doesn't exactly like that kind of stuff and she's out of the house a lot," I told her. "Ah, I see..." Journey mumbled.
The microphone next to her buzzed. "You have a meeting in 5." A girl reminded her. Journey pressed on a black button. "Thank you, Annie!"
"Can we finish this later?" Journey asked me, standing up and grabbing a folder. "Yeah, do you have the same phone number? I'll text you." I told her. "I do! I'll talk to you later then. Bye, Harry." She hugged me and walked to the door and held it open. I walked out. "Bye." I watched as she walked down the hall. She looked healthier and happier. That's all I wanted.
I felt complete again. Like a void was filled. I didn't want it to be empty again. I need to know Journey again.

Journey's POV
I paced around Niall's living room. "And he was there! He was there and w-we were friends again and we were happy! Then he invited me to the wedding, WHICH IN CASE YOU FORGOT, is on my birthday so I need to cancel the plans and--"
"Calm down! No need to cancel any plans. Just arrange it to later or earlier." Niall advised. "I'm gonna either have a breakdown before or after, Niall." I sat down. "I'm gonna get you a drink..." He got up. "Thanks."
He sat down beside me again and handed me a water bottle. I sighed. "Are you gonna join us tonight at the bar?" He asked me. Most nights, we arrange times to meet up with everyone at the bar and drink away our problems. I must've forgotten tonight was the night. "Oh shit, yeah. I'm gonna go home and change. I'll see you there." I got up. "See you there. Dress nice, Harry'll be there."

I went home and changed into a short black dress (above) and actually did my makeup and straightened my hair. Maybe it was because Harry would be there, but I wanted to be perfect. I slipped on black heels and washed my teeth, then applied lipstick and left.
I walked through the smoke-filled bar, now used to the smell as we've been here many times before. I found Liam, Louis, Niall, and Harry in the booth we once crowded around a year before now. I sat down beside Niall and greeted them. "You haven't straightened your hair in months!" Niall pointed out. "It's because Harry's here, for sure." Louis teased. "No," I denied. "It's because I wanted to look good for my own reasons. Harry just happens to be here. Speaking of which, hey." I smiled.
"Hey." He said, coming out of a daze he was entranced in. "Ay lad, I think you've got a little drool right there." Liam joked. Harry slapped his approaching finger.
This is gonna be a long night.
