Between two worlds ( A Trunks x OC Story)

Chapter 2

Melody was at school, trying not to fall asleep in her class she just stares at the window looking around her trying to distract herself and not think of stuff.

In her break, Melody and her friend Janel were sitting on a bench near a flowering tree. Melody decided to tell Janel what happen last night at her house and why she couldn't sleep well.

" and that is what happens"

" I see... and you try to see if the book has invisible ink, maybe that is why you couldn't see it but..... Your mom and grandparents were able to  see something written on in so I really not sure what to say to help"

" Is okay Janel, I try to understand my mom, about this book but I don't get why my birth parents leave me with my mother, (Of course I'm grateful to my mom for taking care of me even though I'm not blood-related but I know that she loves me and I love her too), but still with a strange book I try to make it like a journal but every time I try to write in it, the ink disappears, is so strange." 

" well... changing the topic, what happened to you yesterday did you meet again with the strange guy?" Janel said in a sassy tone with her friend.

" Thank god that I did not saw him again, maybe he confuses me with another girl with the same name... Yeah that's it, he was just confused"

" Oh, really, because I could swear that he may know you, and you just don't have any interest in him"

" Okay Janel, with all honesty, you should stop watching telenovelas, they are getting in your way of analyzing the situation"

" What?!... the telenovelas are great dramas that you can learn a lot from them, if not, ask my Abuelita she knows everything that you should know."  Defending her argument Janel told Melody everything that is to know about her soap opera and she should know more about them.

" Just admit it Melody you are scared to go out with a guy and have a great relationship."

" Who says I'm afraid to have someone in my life because that is not true!"  said Melody a little annoyed.

" oh really...."

" yes really"

" Oh yeah... then what happens with Fabian?"

" W-what about Fabian?"

" You know what I mean. The poor guy invites you to his party so he could ask you out and have a great time with you and what did you say ' no thank you, I already have plans,'  Girl that was a big slap in his face, all of his friends were making fun of him."

" Well, then that means Fabian does not know who are his real friends because real friends do not laugh at you in that kind of situation."

" Girl, you know what I mean. You did not have the heart to at least go with him on one date and if and only IF did not work just say so at that moment. NOT! In front of all the group"

" Well, I'm sorry if I'm not as calm and compassion as you are, I was being sincere I DID! have plans for that weekend and I really don't like fabian like that, he is just another of my classmates and that is it."

" oh yeah, then what about, Carlos, Mark, Haru," Janel said counting with her fingers the guys that have asked Melody out but she always said no. "they were all interested in you but you say NO to all of them, when are you going to have a little fun. We are almost finished with school and you have not dated once."

" Janel...:" Melody said in a serious and calm voice. " Look I'm not that kind of girl, okay, I just want to finish with all my studies and help my mother out a little, I will have time to socialize more and have a boyfriend in the future but right now that is not my priority"
