Chapter 2

Birds were chirping and the sun was up. With the sunlight peeking through the windows, Damian woke up to the smell of cooking. "Ughh, good morning babe. What are you cooking?" Damian asked Yoohyeon "I'm making omelets for breakfast babe, what time do you have to go to work today?" Yoohyeon asked her partner.

"I have to be at work at 10, food looks great babe," Damian answered as he got closer to Yoohyeon.

"Thanks, babe, now go get washed up, I'll set the table after I'm done here," Yoohyeon said as she gave a peck to Damian's lips.

"Do I stink that much babe?"

"Yes, now go or I'll finish all of these omelets."

"Yes ma'am"

"So what are your plans for today?" Damian asked as he grabbed his share of food.

"Hmm, I'm not really sure."

"Mhm, knowing you, you're just going to laze around and read something," Damian replied while taking a portion of food from Yoohyeon's plate.

"Yah that's mine, and that's not true. I really want to hit you right now"

"Ahahaha! I know. You're just too cute whenever I tease you. I have to go now. I'll see you later baby."

"Alright then, see you later babe. Don't screw up at your work, ok?" Yoohyeon kissed her partner goodbye.

"You know that I don't do that babe."

"Really huh, try to go home early later I'll make us dinner."

"Alright, bye then babe."

"Bye."

So what am I supposed to do now? Maybe I could go for an idle walk? If the weather's good I could do the laundry, I'll tackle dinner with my unskilled hands and that...

And...

Hmmm.....

Passing the days not caught in anything, it took me about a week to realize that freedom without any purpose feels like a whole lot like boredom.

In a karaoke bar downtown on a Saturday night, loud music can be heard and joyous people filled the space. In a room down the corridor, the group found their spot.

"Ahh this is a good place isn't it," Handong said to the group.

"Yes, it is a good place Dongie. How did you found out about it?" Damian asked the orange-haired woman

"Oh, I've been here before, my workmates introduced this place to me."

"I see, I'm gonna order for us now, any requests?"

"Beer for me, love," Yoohyeon told her partner.

"Soju for me and Dongie, Damian-ssi" Dami told Damian.

"Roger that ma'am." Damian confirmed.

"Didn't think that you would really resign from your job" Dami told Yoohyeon.

"Yup, I really did it," Yoohyeon answered gleefully.

"Well I know you had serious gripes about, and I thought it had to be a problem the time they have given you.... Are you gonna be alright Yoohyeonie."

"Well I still have a lot of savings, don't worry about me."

"Money's a concern, but what are you gonna do now? What about your painting?"
