A sound of the bell chimed as Yoohyeon exited the room she was from. With portfolio in hand, a visibly rattled Yoohyeon let out a deep and exasperated sigh.

"How did it go baby?" Damian asked as he stood up approaching his partner.

"It was –"a still rattled Yoohyeon replied. "It went really well. They absolutely liked my portfolio."

"See, I told you that you'll wing it. You got it, I couldn't expect less from you. You did well." Damian reassured her as he patted her head."

"Hehe, thank you for accompanying me here, baby. You're definitely my lucky charm."

"Well, I sure am charming and I'm sure am lucky to have you. So I guess I truly am a lucky charm."

"Ok then? You're selling yourself too much there; I'll let it slide this time. Let's go have our lunch, baby."

"Let's go then, I think there's a diner nearby. Let's check it out."

"Lead the way baby." Yoohyeon flashed her puppy smile as she clung onto Damian's arm while holding on to her portfolio tightly across her chest with her other arm. Skipping along as she was visibly happy with the result of her appointment. Yoohyeon can't contain her excitement at the prospect of her being able to work on the thing that she's most passionate about. A drive she knew all too well, a motivation that was once lost now found and rekindled.

"Congratulations, babe, on landing the job. I told you got it."

"Thank you babe, on hindsight I don't think I'm really up for the job now that I think about."

"What do you mean? You got it, there's a reason why they hired you."

"I don't know, babe, I just think I'll mess up so bad. I just don't think I can handle it."

"Mhm, if it'll make you feel better, you won't screw up as much as I do."

"That's not much of a standard you know, like the bar's way too low."

"First of all that's mean, and second it kinda comes with the job I have."

"Yeah sure, but seriously speaking, thank you so much babe." Yoohyeon said as she held Damian's hand from across the table. "I honestly couldn't have done this without your reassurance."

"I'll always be by your side, baby, no matter what." Damian, stroking Yoohyeon's hand, reassured her.

"Thank you really, for everything. I love you."

"I love you too baby. By the way, I have to go soon or my boss won't let me hear the end of it if I'm late again."

"Oh I see, I might go do groceries before going home then. Is there anything that you want to have for dinner?"

"Hmmmmm, aside from you, I'd love some curry."

"Seriously, in broad daylight?"

"Like, you'll say no to that."

"Sigh, of course not. So curry then."

"Yes please."

The two of them then enjoyed their meal peacefully, savoring the food and the companionship that they so desire, and celebrating the small victory that they had in life. After finishing their meal, the two then proceed to pay for the food and went to parking space where they left the scooter.

"Alright babe, I have to go now. I'm sorry if I can't drive you home." Damian told Yoohyeon as he was wearing his helmet.

"It's fine, I can handle myself and be careful in driving to work, ok?"
