King Frederic stood on his bedroom's balcony in his nightly attire; his brown hair ruffled with strains poking out in every direction. He stared out over the Kingdom of Corona with tired brown eyes. He looked down at his hands to stare at the item he was holding. It was a small bundle of cloth wrapped in a tight bond with a small opening near the top. Inside was the peaceful sleeping face of a baby. His hair was as white as the blazing stars that shone above them in the midnight sky. As King Frederic stared at the baby, a small smile appeared on his face while unknowing to him; tears had begun to stream down his face dampening parts of the cloth bundle below. A minute had passed of him doing this when with a shaking breath, he slowly bent down to baby's ear and gently whispered, "Orion, my dear sweet Orion, I love you. I wished that there was another way to protect you, b-but after your sister, Rapunzel, was taken from us and the power that sleeps within you I fear that people will come searching for your power for wicked purposes. So, for yours and the kingdom's safety, I must send you away." Lifting his head, he took once last glance at the kingdom that had now been blanketed in a veil of darkness before turning towards the glass door that led to his bedroom and slowly began walking towards them. Upon entering the room and closing the balcony doors, he turned to be met with a hooded figure who stood by his bedside. With no words spoken, the hooded figure slowly stretched out their arms, signifying to King Frederic that it was time for them to depart once and for all. Seeing this, he slowly began to stretch his arms out with the baby towards the figure before quickly retracting them bring the baby close to his chest. "Please, before you take him, just promise me this!'' He pleaded his voice, sounding desperate, feeling tears beginning to form and slowly streak down his face. Looking at the hooded figure, King Frederic saw that they still held out their arms but gave him a small nod to continue. Taking a breath, he continued speaking in a calm and composed manner despite the tears streaming down his face, now forming a small puddle on the marble flooring. "Please, take him to a family that will love, care, and cherish him, and give him everything that I could never give." Again the hooded figure spoke no words but only gave a slow nod which King Frederic took as an agreement, and with that, he again slowly extended his arms gently, placing the still sleeping baby in the figure's arms. Backing away, King Frederic continued to gaze at Orion's sleeping yet peaceful face as the hooded figure walked toward the empty balcony passing King Frederic. King Frederic, who now stared at the empty bed its white silk sheets shining bright in the light of the midnight moon, heard the balcony doors open with a small creek, and the echo of footsteps on the stone balcony before coming to a halt. Hearing this, King Frederic, who had now stopped crying turn to face the balcony only to meet with a flash of blinding purple light, forcing his eyes shut. Upon noticing his close eyelids go from a bright red to a deep plum purple, he slowly opened his eyes only to see that both the hooded figure and Orion no longer stood on the balcony. But in their place was a small white cat laying on the balcony's stone handrail staring straight back at King Frederic with their knowing blue eyes.
