3rd POV
The end of the school day finally arrives. Y/N was glad that she hadn't received a mountainous amount of work. She walks to the entrance of the building to head on home when she sees Satan waiting at the gates. "Please save me, god, I've never done you any harm," Y/N thinks to herself as she tries to walk past him.
"Y/N L/N," Satan calls out to her with a polite smile, "Lucifer told me to walk you back home."
"Oh, haha, really now? That's nice of you and him, but I don't need any help. I can get back home by myself, thanks for the concern!" She nervously blabbers out, and she grips her bag, trying to make a break for it. Unfortunately, Satan easily grabs her wrist before she can run away.
"You have some nerve to try that, human," he narrows his eyes at her as he holds his anger back. "I won't hurt you, so don't worry. Let's go, we need to make a stop at the library first."
He lets go of her wrist a few moments later. She follows quietly, gulping her saliva, and hopes that Satan keeps his word. They walk in silence to and inside the library. He leads the way around the DVDs section and looks for something in particular.
"Hey, can you help search for a DVD called An Attorney?" Satan asks of Y/N.
Y/N's POV
"S-Sure, thing," I avoid his eyes and look. Gosh, why am I such a coward? I don't like confrontation, but I'm the one in the wrong! Man, I need to apologize sooner than later, but not today. Nono, I'm too wuss to be that brave- geez, this is the problem! I'm such a coward that I can't even apologize A.S.A.P. when I should-
"Y/N, what are you looking at? I found it already," he holds up a DVD box. Shoot!
I stand up straight, "ah, sorry."
"It's alright. Have you heard of An Attorney? Levi told me that it's game series from the human world. It's about the adventures of a defense attorney named Ken Rite who has to solve different murder cases," Satan explains to me. Wait, I know this!
"I've heard about it actually! I've watched gameplay on it before, but I never watched the anime version!" It clicks in my head, and I point at the box. "Wait, so that's the anime, isn't it?"
"Yes, it is." Yesyesyes!
"Can I please watch it with you then, please!?" I clasp my hands together, leaning towards him with a big, fat smile plastered on my face. I really want to watch the anime version, I didn't have the time to watch it beforehand!
"Oh? Are you interested in murder cases as well?" He asks.
"Noooo, course not, I just wanted to mock you—I'm kidding, yes I am! Cmon, lemme watch it too, pleaseeee!!" I beg him verbally and with the best puppy dog eyes that I can do.
"Of course, I wouldn't mind having someone watch it with me," he smiles.
"Whoo!" I do a little dance with my arms, I can't wait to watch it!
"Y/N, could you be a bit more quiet? This is a library." Here comes the memories that I had forgotten for a moment, dang it. I stop dancing and turn away from him. Gosh, I can't even look at him.
He sighs, "Actually, I'd like to apologize to you for my behavior." Wait, what?
"I shouldn't have lost my temper like that at breakfast. After all, what happened wasn't your fault."
I did wrong this morning for causing a commotion, yet Satan is willing to say sorry first instead of me? To top it all, he even says that what happened isn't my fault. I feel awful, and he's a better person than I ever could be. The growing black hole in my stomach and my morals won't let me have this happen. I bow down from the waist with a hand out to him, "No, I should be the one who's apologizing. Satan, you were just trying to enjoy your breakfast in peace, but I messed it up 'cause of Asmo and Mammon."
"Honestly, you're really mature and intelligent to be able to apologize in the same day. I—wish that I could be like you, so I will try as of today. I sincerely apologize for my actions, Satan. I hope that you can forgive me, maybe not today, tomorrow, or the day after, but someday." Ack, my stomach feels even worse! Don't wuss out, stomach!
"And you are completely right about me being mature and intelligent," Satan tells me, lifting my chin up with his hand. His smile looks much less formal than before, and more, well, happy? If that's possible for a demon of rage.
"Although, it truly wasn't your fault for what happened this morning. It was Asmo and Mammon being themselves and causing a ruckus," he continues. "Actually, Mammon should probably be the one apologizing, not you. In that case, I won't acknowledge your apology, but instead I'd like to start our relationship on different terms."
He shakes my hand. "Hello, I'm Satan, Avatar of Wrath. It's nice to meet you, Y/N."
This guy is the very ESSENCE of maturity. I hug him and sniffle loudly. "Ack, you're gonna make me cry," I admit between holding-back-tears-noises. "Geez, you're just showing off how mature and capable you are, aren't you?"
"I'll leave that up to you to decide," he chuckles. "My introverted side is telling me that this hug is a bit much." Whoops. I back off automatically, and apologize.
"Thanks. Anyway, there are some other books that I need to borrow, could you help me find them?"
"Yup, it's not a problem! Lead the way!"
Satan nods and leads me around the bookshelves and we look for books, and guess what!? He wants picture books of CATS. Cats, oh my god! Is this not the most innocent thing ever!? Of course, he got some other books on things that I didn't exactly understand, but I don't mind. In the end, we take a whole stack of books.
We head to the front desk and he returns another stack of books from his backpack. He then borrows all the new books and the librarian says "See you again, Satan." Afterwards, we make our way back home. Spending time with him was really fun, I think that he's going to make a great friend. I hope we hangout some time soon again.
