Chapter 16

Martin tried to get Katelyn back many times. Even involving the police and reporting her missing, stolen and kidnapped. Katelyn and Mrs. Angel convince them to wait until after the school examinations before settling things in court.

So three days into summer vacation they went to court and Mrs. Angel won the case. She was now officially Katelyn's legal guardian and Martin was arrested for physical abuse. One month later Mrs. Angel successfully divorced Damien and adopted Andy. They were a happy family and since Katelyn was not adopted by Ms. Angel she and Asher were free to continue dating.

A legal guardian is only temporary and lasts until the child is eighteen so Katelyn and Asher are not related. Just to clarify.

One year later Ms. Angel continued to get promoted and became very very wealthy.

Seven years later. Asher is now 22 and Katelyn is 21.

'I'm so nervous. I really really hope she'll say yes.' Asher thought holding a box in his pocket after a date with Katelyn.

He took out a piece of paper and read, 

"No matter what happens my soul will never leave

Together we've been both happy and sad
Supportive through the good and the bad.
We talked about the future, your husband and my wife
And took time to ponder the mysteries of life.

If it be that all is but a dream
Then why do we not wake?
Our dream may be easily given
But is it really that hard to take?
No matter whether it is or not
We hope our thoughts are too deep
But if one of us happens to wake
The other will wait for them to return to sleep.

So as we go on we must remember
Every day from January to December
The bond that we hold with each other
I'm sure you would be proud to call me brother
For you are like a sister to me
As I'm sure you've always been able to see.

When difficulties come here
I shall never disappear.
And though I may not always be by your side
I will try my hardest even after I have died.
Time may come to be rough
And if the other is not there we must be tough.
Taking comfort day by day
in those words we always say.
"I Love You Always, forever, whenever,
To the Moon and Back together."

"Gasp! That's very sweet and all but you said the entire thing without stuttering! Congrats!"

"Yeah... Haha..." He laughed nervously getting out of his wheelchair and standing up.

"What are you–"

He knelt doesn't on one knee and pulled out a small velvet box.

"No way!"

He opened the small box to expose a beautifully crafted custom diamond ring that would probably put a massive dent in a normal person's Bank account, "Katelyn Cambridge. You made me who I am today you supported me all this time and I can't imagine spending the rest of my life with anyone else. Will... Will you marry me?"

"Of course ya big dummy and is that a 24-carat diamond!? You literally made it impossible for anyone to say no. This absolutely gorgeous! How much did this cost you!?"

"That doesn't matter right now we're going to get married eventually!" Asher said excitedly hugging her.

"Eventually my ass we're getting married next month on my birthday."She said putting on the ring.

"But–"

"But nothing. I'm going to get double presents every year! Totally worth it!"

"You're really weird and quirky." Asher joked.
