I grunted as I was greeted by an upset Emily, who noticed me looking soaking wet, sitting down in the chairs.

thank you so much Chief Swan for bringing her back here safely, and not pressing any charges

Chief Swan
*nods* no problem, and I'll let someone go get your car for you. You are very lucky I stopped you Vanessa, you could have got busted by another cop

Emily
most importantly she could have gotten hurt *looks toward Vanessa with that look* you're lucky that I'm not your brother now, he would be pissed with you and probably taken away your driver's permit for good

Vanessa
Does that mean I could still drive?

Emily
don't you be smiling while I'm punishing you, and yes but you're still going to be on punishment, for a long, long time. Until I learn to trust you again

Vanessa
*sighs* yes ma'am

Emily
come on let's take you home and dry up before, your brother gets worried sick about us not being home. Now say goodbye to Chief Swan, and the outside world, because you won't be out here for a long time got me

Vanessa
*sighs* yes I got you, goodbye Chief Swan and thank you

Chief Swan
no problem, and stay out of trouble

I rolled my eyes, but receive a look from Emily and sigh and said.

Vanessa
sorry, yes sir I'll stay out of trouble

Chief Swan
good, have a nice day ladies

So we left the police station, and I was following behind Emily. It stopped raining, so we went and got Emily's car in stores, and Emily paid them 200 hundred dollar, which wasn't that much the way I expected, but Emily said that I would have to pay her back for this, which I was so not looking forward to.

I was thankful when I got home, that Sam wasn't there yet with the guys. I didn't need another lecture from him, like the one I got from Emily on our way home.

I was told to take a shower so that I wouldn't get sick, and I put on my pajamas, because I didn't feel like wearing day clothes, because I was too upset and mad over the break up with the one and only Jacob Black. I couldn't call him Jake anymore after what he did to my heart.

I came downstairs, and found Emily making dinner for the guys until they got home. I don't understand why she always cooks too much for us, but their growing boys have to eat at some point.

I sat down at the table, and Emily noticed me but still hasn't said anything to me since we arrived at home.

*looks at Emily* can you please say something?

what Vanessa, that you could have almost killed yourself tonight, and that I would have been my fault because I knew I should have lock the keys up, or stopped you when I saw you took them myself

how come you didn't stop me?

because I thought you would have done the right thing, young lady
