Eve's eyes fluttered a few times before the unfamiliar room came into view. She sat up quickly and hit her head on something. She tried to rub away the pain, but a throbbing set in that would be a headache later, she knew. She looked up too see she was in a bunk bed. There was another bunk bed in the room, a closet, and another door, but that was all. No windows, vents, or anything. She was dressed in the same blouse and jeans as before, but her shoes were missing.

Memories of what had happened the other day came flooding in. Eve could not believe that she had trusted Levi. She couldn't believe what had just happened. Aunt Brandie must that she's missing by now, but how would the police ever figure out where she was. She didn't even know where she was. At least she was physically unharmed. If she had stayed with those disgusting men, who knows what would have happened. They would have never let her leave alive, she knew that for sure.

She took a deep breath and lifted herself from the bed; then, she walked to the door that she figured would let her out of the room and jiggled the door knob: locked. That's what Eve had anticipated anyways. Her kidnappers wouldn't allow her to be in an unlocked room without any restraints.

She made her way to the tall closet door and prepared for the worst. She ripped open the closet door and backed away, but was surprised when she found normal clothes. They were at least somewhat normal. There were dresses that looked they were made for little girls, but could fit her, but others seemed too small. There were also boys clothes that looked they were made for a doll, but could fit a boy like Levi.

She shuddered when she thought of Levi again and felt an anger grow inside of her. How Levi had tricked her, manipulated her, but then in the end acted weird, as if he never wanted any of this to happen even though he had caused it. The mysterious Masked-Man had also haunted her memories. Who could he be, and why did he want Eve so much?

None of any this made sense to Eveleine. The bunk beds, the clothes, the Masked-Man, Levi- it was all too confusing. She was ripped from her thoughts when she heard the sound of the door unlocking. She quickly shut herself in the closet and crawled behind some clothing.

It was all pointless because she knew they would find her eventually, but as soon as they opened the closet door, she knew what she would do.

"Where is she?" asked a spine-chilling voice.

"She was in here earlier, sleeping," said another male voice: Levi.

"Jorund, it's time that your sister meets the rest of the family, so find her, dress her, and bring her to breakfast," the menacing voice spoke again. Eve wondered who on Earth Jorund could be. She knew she had heard the odd name before, but couldn't remember from where.

"Yes, Father," said Levi.

She heard steps walking towards the door and she backed farther behind the clothing. This wasn't her chance to escape and she knew it. She stood and opened the closet door, facing Levi, and straightening her posture.

"Nice to see you again, Levi,' she spoke strongly, anger laced in her words.

"Eve, please, let me explain. You don't know these people or what their capable of," Levi began.

"Yes, you can explain, everything. I deserve so much more than an explanation at this point," Eve began. "Who are these people and why are you helping them."

"You didn't let me finish. I'll explain after breakfast. For now, you have to just do everything they say. I don't want you to get her."

"Who is Jorund?" The name was hard for Eve to spit out.

"Me, now let's get you dressed. Put on that one," Levi or Jorund pointed to a dark green dress unlike the other pink fluffy ones. It was tight around the waist and then spread out and fell just below her knees. It was probably the only thing in the entire wardrobe she would tolerate wearing.
