The last few weeks are a big learning curve for me. Today the twins are taking over from their father. There will be many visiting Alpha's and their mates attending. We have been fitted for new suits, mine is a dark blue that makes my grey eyes pop.
Chase has a blue suit that are nearly the same colour as his eyes. Reece has a dusty blue colour. I make sure there are no smudges on my shoes and then look in the mirror and check my red tie is straight.
I brush my dark hair back with my fingers and take a deep breath.
"Relax Day, it will be fine" Chase assures me walking out of the dressing room.
"Wow! You look hot?" he states and I see his eyes darken.
"Oh, no, we are to be down in the main room in 5" I warn him.
Reece walks into the bedroom and my mouth goes dry.
"Why aren't you dressed?" I ask as he is only wearing his pants.
"I was hungry and didn't want to get anything on my clean shirt" he explains.
"Please get dressed?" I ask and he grins as he walks into the closet.
I adjust myself in my pants and see Chase do the same. Reece isn't long and walks out looking even more edible.
"This is going to be a long evening" I complain and they smile at me as they take my hands.
I lean in and kiss Chase then Reece on the cheek. They both rub my stomach that is only just beginning to show. We walk down to the main hall and wait in front of the large double doors.
The trumpets play and the doors open. The people inside cheer as we walk in and walk down the long isle that has been made by the chairs and people sitting either side of it. The King and Queen are standing up front with a couple of official looking men.
Once at the front, I step to the side and stand next to the Queen. She smiles and winks at me, putting me a little more at ease. The coronation of the twins begins and the King passes his crown to Chase being the eldest and the new one made for today he places on Reece's head.
The official announces they are now Kings and the people present cheer. They move aside and the Queen and I take our place in front of the second official.
Before we can start an Alpha stands up "we can not accept a male queen!" he states
I turn and look him in the eyes. "Alpha Steven's, I will not be a queen but a Regent?" I tell him
"That is just a title. We will not accept a male mate for our Kings?" he says
"When you say we?" I ask and he looks around.
When no-one stands up, he shakes his head
"Cowards the lot of you!" he says
"So the we, is actually an I?" I clarify
I see Chase about to step forward "no, this is my fight?" I tell him
"Is your son present?" I ask and his son stands up looking a little embarrassed.
"Do you want to take over the pack?" I ask and he nods his head.
"Then why haven't you? Your father has lost his reasoning due to his mate's death?" I ask
"I thought he would regain it back with time" he says.
"Alpha Steven's will you step down willingly?" I ask him and he straightens his shoulders.
