《Some Abuse in this chapter》

Eden began to float back into consciousness, a quiet groan slipping past her lips. Her brows furrowed, but her eyes felt like they were glued shut, or maybe lead weighed them down..

She couldn't tell. Her body felt heavy. Too heavy to move. And she ached. God, she was in too much pain.

But her wrists and ankles.. they felt cold. Colder than they should've been.

She forced her eyes open, finally gaining the strength.

It was dark.. wherever she was. But she was thankful. Because her head felt like it'd been drilled by a jackhammer.

She looked around, her eyes already adjusted, and she was able to see everything. It was easy to see in the dark. She suspected it was that way because she'd been trapped in a dark basement her whole life.

She could see a door, and a dresser at the far side of the room. A broken mirror.. but that was it.

She glanced down at her ankles, and her heart went into overdrive.

No.. no no no!

Panic weighed down on her chest, and she tried to pull her ankles away from the handcuffs - fuzzy ones at that - that binded her to.. what looked like a metal bed frame. She tugged on her wrists as well, only to see the same thing.

Why the fuck am I in handcuffs?

Her heart began to race, uncontrollably. Her chest felt warm because of how fast it beat. Her fingers and toes grew numb, and her chest rose and fell rapidly.

Out, out. I need out!

Her vision seemed to blur, and her entire body trembled, feeling numb. She tried to gasp for air, as if she couldn't get enough into her lungs. God, it felt like she was dying.

She knew she wasn't though. It was merely a panic attack. She'd had plenty of them to know what was happening to her.

She was gasping so much, trying to claw away from the cuffs, pulling and writhing and struggling.

She felt like she couldn't breathe. Hell, she couldn't even shed tears. Only cry out between her gasps.

Get me out!

She screamed at nothing, in her head. She felt trapped. And a new feeling came crashing down.

Claustrophobic.

She whimpered, desperately trying to escape. She hated it. She wanted out. Hell, death would be more appealing right now.

She briefly heard a creak, and then light flooded into the room, causing her to snap her eyes shut at the pain it caused in her head.

At the sound of floorboards croaking, her eyes opened again, and she looked in the direction of the noise. What she seen didn't help her panic.

She saw.. a man? No, a creature. A very tall creature. Who had paper white skin. He didn't have.. he didn't have eyes or a nose. But.. he definitely had a mouth, which was stretched into a wide grin, showing off razor sharp teeth.
