"How about that Gyrosphere?" I suggest, clasping my hands together. Gray looks upset, but so does Zach.
"Their aunt said to only go to the children's cloud," Zara says, still on her phone. I frown.
"Are you kidding? Zara, there old enough to go to the shows at leas-"
"No Isabella, I'm sorry darling but it just won't happen." She shrugs, not giving a damn. I give Zach and Gray a sympathetic look though they give me a hoping one.
"I'm sorry you guys, but at least you can see some dinosaurs," I try to make the best of things, even though I just met these people and I already have sympathy... for one of them.
"I guess so," Gray shrugs, looking down at his sneakers. I grab his shoulder and begin to walk, leaving Zach and Zara behind.
"Don't get all pouty on me now, I have to have some kind of friend." I wave at Henry and Jocelyn.
"Seems like you have plenty," he giggles.
"None like you," I poke his cheek and he smiles. He looks back at Zach, I look back at him. He's on his phone, a mean look on his face, "god, you are so boring." I say to him, Gray gasps and Zach looks up.
"What?" He looks confused, but he doesn't even put his phone down. I shake my head and laugh. I look back down at Gray and he snickers. I open the door for the group and we walk out but I stand next to Zach, "what do you mean I'm boring?" He asks, looking at me from his phone. A strand of his hair dangles in front of his face.
"I mean, every time I've seen you today, you were on your phone. Except for on the boat," when I say that he blushes, I laugh lightly.
"That's because, this place isn't exactly for a 16 year old," He sighs and I roll my eyes.
"I'm 16, does that make me like, weird?" I tease and he stutters.
"N-no, of course not-"
"I'm joking," I smile and he relaxes his shoulders, "you've never been here before?" I ask and he shakes his head.
"No, this is me and Gray's first time," I explain and he looks down at me, I'm at his shoulders.
"That explains a lot than," I laugh and he gives me a confused look, "you'll see," I say, leaving that at that.
"So, what's good in the, 'children cloud'?" He asks and I laugh.
"Nothing, absolutely nothing," I say the truth and he groans.
"Well, other than the petting zoo, which is the whole thing, there's the spinning egg ride thing," I say and he looks down at me again, he finally puts his phone in his pocket, I smile to myself.
"How fun! A spinning egg ride thing, sounds exciting," he teases and we walk to the dreadful cloud. Gray looks back at us and runs to my side.
"So, what do you feed the raptors?" He asks and I smile.
"They feed them humans," Zach says in a serious tone, I roll my eyes.
"No, they don't," I look back at him and he smiles, "we feed them a cow leg I believe, but there's not one in a cage, they'd be sad if it was like that. They have siblings, so they eat the leg equally. It's actually pretty cool." I explain and he has an astounding look on his face that makes me chuckle.
"Okay, has anyone gotten killed by a dinosaur here?" Zach asks and I sigh.
"Yeah, a lot actually, when it was Jurassic Park-" I stop, "I actually can't talk about that here," I mess with a strand of my hair.
"Can we feed a raptor?" Gray looks up at me and my eyes go wide.
"Hell no," I say quickly and he slouches, "unless you want to die. I mean, you could, you just have to be incredibly careful. I've known the raptors their whole life and I've fed them all their life, they're just used to me. They listen to me, kind of like a dog I guess, just more teeth," I smile, thinking of Delta, my favorite raptor.
We turn the corner and the sign reads, 'the children's cloud' in a messy font.
"Ready to have the most boring time of your life?" I whisper to Zach and he smiles down at me.
"Let's do it."
