louis

"mum, can you believe i got through?! i'm so excited, i can't believe-" his mother cut him off. "lou, i knew they'd say yes, you're so talented, i'm so proud of you," she looked at her son, grinning. "thanks, mum." he looked at his sisters, who were beaming at him. he beamed back. "let's go home, girls. i've got to prepare for bootcamp next," he announced. the family started making their way to the car.

once they arrived home, the whole tomlinson family and some of his friends were waiting at the house. all louis heard when he opened the front door was "congratulations, louis," or "knew you'd smash it, lou!" or "the tomo's on his way to fame!"

he grinned as he looked around at all the familiar faces. he managed to mumble a form of "thank you" as he was passed around and smushed between people in hugs.

when louis went to bed that night, he couldn't get that boy he met in the bathroom at the audition out of his head. the boy that he gave his cardigan to. the boy curly headed boy with the green eyes, harry styles.

harry

harry ran off stage and straight into his mother's open waiting arms. "mum, oh my god, did you hear what they said? the simon cowell, mum, oh my god-" anne looked at her son. "harry, i didn't doubt for a second that they wouldn't love you," she told him happily. "c'mon, mum, let's go home," he said to her.

when they got in the car, anne stopped and looked at harry. "harry, i want you to know something. no matter how big and famous you get, you'll always be my baby. i just want you to remember that, okay?" he looked at his mother. "always, mum," he said to her.

when they arrived home, harry's sister, gemma, was waiting on them in the kitchen. "my baby brother's going to be a star!" she exclaimed as soon as her green eyes landed on harry. "i'm assuming you got through, yeah?" she asked him. "yes, gem, three yeses!" he said excitedly.

"called it," gemma said. "alright, let's celebrate." the rest of the night in the styles' household was spent cooking and watching cheesy romantic comedies. the whole night, harry couldn't stop thinking about the boy he met earlier that day in the bathroom, the boy whose cardigan he has, that blue eyed, brown-haired boy, louis tomlinson.
