Duke often gets insecure about himself because a lot of jealous boys say that people only like him because of his looks, Tristan is usually there to comfort him and tell Duke that he will love him no matter what he looks like. (I know it's cheesy but as long as you mean it then it doesn't matter) Tristan has even offered to beat up those guys on a few occasions because that's how bad his insecurity got a few times in the past.
