Do you remember the night the moon dropped from the sky?
And we ran through the forest to find where it lies,
I was tripping on tree roots and slipping on snow,
You were holding my hand saying not to let go,
When we found it at last there were twigs in our hair,
A rose on our cheeks and out breath in the air,
And the words to describe it got caught in our throats,
As its silver light dances through the threads of our coats,
We knew that our eyes had not seen such a view,
You were looking at it,
I was looking at you.

-It's Beautiful, Luke. - She jumped off the bed happily and sat down in front of him on the ground, clutching his trembling hands in hers. -It's Beautiful. - She repeated, her eyes did not lose their luster in itself. Winter leaned towards to kiss his cracked lips, but Luke looked away, and the girl's mouth met his cheek. He looked with gladness at the snow falling outside the window. -I hate winter, I just hate it. - She said suddenly, getting the attention of the boy
-Why? - He asked shocked. –Winter is the best thing that can happen to this city.
-Everything is white, people go crazy over the holidays, children screaming and someone throws snowballs at me all the time. This atmosphere is not for me. - She shrugged, standing up and going back to bed.
-I don't believe you. Don't you feel the magic spirit of holidays? -Luke also stood up and sat down in front of her. He picked up a blanket from the floor and wrapped it around her shoulders and smiled gently, fixing her hair.
-I spend Holidays alone anyways, because the parents are always in the delegation.
-“Maybe I like the winter because it reminds me of myself; cold and dying. Grey and quiet. I hope that one day I will be the spring; new and thawing. Bright and thriving.” -Luke quoted, staring at his best friend.
-Why you have to be this sensitive and emotional one in our friendship? It  girls role to write poems, sitting in their own four walls and crying after losing a boyfriend. -Winter laughed, throwing a pillow at him, and he did the same thing.
-I'm sure you know a lot of poems, and that's the first step. - He answered.
-I know yours, is this enough? - she asked hopefully, but he denied within a minute. Winter sighed loudly, then cleared her throat and straighten her back. -My sister thinks she's Santa Claus. It's really kind of cute. She likes to shout out “Ho, Ho, Ho!”and wears a bright red suit. She carries lots of toys around inside a great big sack and keeps her eight pet reindeer with her sleigh out in the back.
-Oh my god. -Luke began to laugh loudly, as a result, he lay down on his back, flailing his legs in the air.
-I remember when we said this in kindergarten. It's a sign that I have a good memory! - She tried to defend herself, but after a while she laughed too.

-Luke? -Winter, rubbed her sleepy eyes, when her hand didn't felt the boy next to her. Getting up from the couch, she walked upstairs, wrapped up in his hooded sweatshirt tightly, which ended just before her knees.
With her eyes half-closed, she went into his room and saw his silhouette on the windowsill. The boy leaned his head against the wall, his hands resting on his journal and his pen patting rhythm of the song on the cover of notebook. She went up to him slowly, parting his legs she sat between them and rested on his chest. -What Are you writing? - She whispered.
-What I love about winter. I'd like to show you. - He said, wrapping his arms around her small body. -Sleep. - He said, in a voice so soothing that she almost immediately wanted to sleep. Yawning loudly, she closed her eyes and drifted into the realm of Morpheus.

-I can't do it. - she said when, Luke was tying the laces on her skates. -It's your worst idea ever, I swear. - She protested when the boy pulled his hand toward her.
She grabbed it and after a while, she was standing. The boy grabbed her hands and while he was driving back freely, she was trying to keep balance, tentatively moving forward.
-It's like rollers, but on the ice. - He shrugged, letting go of her. He made a circle around the girl's body, beamed.
-What if it collapses? - She asked, stamping her foot on the surface of a frozen lake. -Then you will have to dive and pulled me out of water. - She screamed when he started to recede. After a moment of solitude, determined and somewhat offended she moved ahead. Her winning streak did not last too long and after a while she fell down, feeling the weight on her back. -Get off me, you idiot!
-Okay, idiot. - He stuck out his tongue at her, when he stood up. -C'mon. - he laughed and grabbed her hand. This time they rode slowly, and he kept her pace. As soon as he let go of her, she waited calmly for his return. She smiled to herself, seeing how much joy it gives him.
Winter sat down gently on ice and stretch her legs, and a moment later she heard a scream behind her.
-Winter, I can't stop! -Luke shouted, waving his hands. She got scared and tried to get up, but the boy slumped next to her, touching her nose with his cold finger.
-I hate you. - She shouted and then with her glove ran down his cheek.
-I have an idea. - He said after a moment of silence. -Do you want to hear it? - He asked.
-Of course! - She replied, without a hesitation and then pulled out  a notebook from under her jacket and handed it to him, smiling broadly.
-“ Everything freezes;  like a frozen lake; there will be no thaw.”
