It was now Christmas Day and I was still freaking out about meeting Rell's mom. I had barely slept and now here I was up at 9am when we weren't even leaving until 1.
Everything between me and Rell have been absolutely great. Damn near perfect. We spent more time together, no more long nights, and we've even been seeing a therapist; both individually and as a couple. To say I was proud of the man he was becoming was an understatement.
"Babe." I said softly as I tried to wake up Rell.
"Hmm."
"Help me pick an outfit please."
"Baby girl, no. You already have one and we aren't bout to change your outfit for the 4th time this week. You look beautiful in anything you wear. Now shut up and go back to sleep."
"But babe-"
"A, go to sleep before I put you to sleep." He said before pulling me closer into him to cuddle.
"Don't threaten me with a good time." I sighed.
"Stop talking like you can take dick."
"I never said I could, I said don't threaten me with a good time."
"Man hush up and go to sleep."

"Are you sure she likes me?" I asked Rell as we sat in the car parked on his mom's driveway.
"Bruh chill out, she already loves you." Rell said annoyed. "Let's go man."
He got out the car and came around to open my door before we grabbed the mac and cheese, jollof rice, and mashed potatoes we made.
I knocked on the door and released a breath I didn't even realize I was holding.
After that felt like eons the door swung open revealing a face I've never seen before.
"Hey cuz, long time no see." The man said."Yeah. I kept it like that for a reason." Rell spat back. I didn't know what their history was but the environment instantly felt violent.
"And who's this beautiful lady you have with you?" The man asked.
"Where my moms at? And let us the fuck in, it's too cold to be standing out here." Rell said completely ignoring him.
"My name is Dianté, you can call me Té for short. Come on in." The man who I now know as Dianté said. "And your mom across the street talking to her little boyfriend."
"Boyfriend?!" Tell yelled while almost dropping the food.
"Babe!" I scolded. I would peel his muffin cap back blue if he dropped the food I spent hours cooking.
