Chapter 5

William's POV

"For fucks sake Anthony, I will pull over in the next town, which is literally 10 minutes down the road then you can stuff your face" My beta Anthony has been complaining for the last hour demanding food and just being a total prick as always.

Pulling up to a little bakery I look at Anthony and wish I could just beat him. I've been driving for the last 9 hours from Amarillo to Laredo to pick up an important document from the Mexican High Pack.

"Welcome to Cake Delight, How can I help you today?" An angelic voice calls out while a short girl come out the kitchen and makes her way around to the counter.

When she looks up and connects with my eyes I feel Paxton my wolf running to the front and shouts 'MATE!! WE HAVE FOUND HER WILLIAM, GOD SHE IS SO HOT'

Closing my eyes and trying to control Paxton is so hard. He keeps whimpering and pushing against my control.

Thank God Anthony was blessed with more than 1 brain cell and takes over before I can control my wolf.

Hearing Anthony talk to my mate I start feeling jealous. Why would he talk to my mate? 'She's Mine!' Paxton growls to Anthony through our mind link.

He gives me a shocked look before pulling me towards the end of the shop.

"Calm down William, she smells like a human. Don't scare her off before you can actually get to know her. Just stay calm" He starts turning away but I pull his shirt so he has to look me in the eyes.

"That's my MATE! You will respect her and stop looking at her as if she is yours" I whisper yell at him and I start feeling like Paxton wants to jump out and kill Anthony.

"Chill brother, I know and if you have forgotten I have a mate, who as you know I love more than life itself." He says in a whisper.

"I'm sorry man, I'm just freaking out. I have no idea how to handle this." I admit to him while looking back at my mate across the shop.

"Will that be all gentlemen?" Her soft voice pulls us out of our heated discussing and we both start moving in her direction.

"Yes thank you, by the way my name is Anthony"

'I told you she is MINE!! Stop flirting with my mate' I shout at him through our mind link

'Relax William, I'm trying to gather information about your mate.'

Paxton calms down after hearing Anthony's reason.

"I'm Sienna, nice to meet you. If that's all. It will be $4.95" She says and gives me the brightest smile I have ever seen, making my heart rate spike.

'My angel Sienna, gosh she is beautiful' Paxton says to me while looking at my mate handing the box of pastries to Anthony.

"Thank you have a lovely day" She says to us while closing the cash register.

DING

DING

"Hey Baby, I brought the stuff you wanted. Should I put it in the kitchen for you?"

Looking at the guy walking in and realising he is talking to my mate I feel Paxton getting anxious, and knowing Anthony he will try and pull me away. Paxton jumps forward in my head and starts demanding blood, the blood of this man.

"Yeah, thanks Peter" She says while giving him a smile, Who the hell is this guy to her?

"You're welcome Baby!" He gives her a kiss on the cheek while she holds the kitchen door for him.

Before I could stop myself a growl rips from my lips and I see Sienna looking at me before shaking her head and heading to the counter to grab her cleaning supplies.

Anthony grabs my arm and gives Sienna a wave before pulling me along to the car.

Before getting in I turn and look at the bakery before meeting Sienna's gaze.

'Our mate is so hot, but who the fuck was that guy. If he touches her again I will rip him to shreds' Paxton growls and paces in my head.

I watch that guy hug her before turning my eyes away and getting in the car.

"Well that was interesting" Anthony starts whistling and grinning at me.

"Shut up, who the hell was that guy and don't say boyfriend because I will kill you without blinking" I growl out and start driving down the street to the little inn where José will meet us tomorrow morning.

Eventually reaching our room and placing our duffle bags down, I walk into the shower and try and scrub the grime away.

"What is your plan regarding your mate?" Anthony asks while stuffing his face with the macaroons.

"I haven't the faintest idea. How can I be with her if she is a human?" I look down at my hands and start thinking of her beautiful chocolate brown eyes.

"Are you fucking serious, you would reject her just because she is human. I can't even imagine how messed up you are right now" I can feel the anger from Anthony as he yells.

"I won't ever reject her, I just mean I have no idea how I can convince her that she belongs with me. How do you even begin to convince a human that you are soul mates. I can't stay here and go through the slow process that the human use. I need to go back to my Pack" This is so frustrating.

"I'm going for run, let me know if José contacts you" Without waiting for a reply I run out and make my way to the small forest on the edge of town.

An invisible pull keeps me moving in the direction of a house at the edge of the forest. Hearing a door slam shut I perk my ears and hear my sweet angels voice.

"Sheila, what time does book club start?" she asks an older lady.

The lady replies but I cannot hear what she says then suddenly I hear my mates voice again.

"Sure, I'll be right back" Where is she going. I decide to follow her while staying hidden in the shadows of the trees.

'Bring me clothes, I'm near the bakery' I mind link Anthony. After 10 minutes Anthony walks up to the tree and throws my clothes at me.

"Don't do anything stupid William, and for the love of God don't scare her off" He says before turning and walking back to the Inn.

Hearing her soft voice saying goodbye to the lady in the store I quickly turn and make my way to her house. Keeping an eye on her while she jogs. Maybe if I bump into her she will notice me.

"Oomph.... what the heck?" She says before falling on her backside and looking up at me with a gasp.

"Are you okay?" I ask quickly while reaching out to help her up. As her hand connects with mine I feel the sparks. Trying not to pull her into my chest and kissing the life out of her.

"I'm fine, sorry for running into you. I'm in a bit of a rush....sorry again" She drops my hand and starts running back to her house.

Wow what a gorgeous girl. I haven't spoken to her much but I already know that I'm whipped. If Anthony saw me now he would definitely tease me.

How can I make this human fall in love with me before I have to leave?
