Regina had had a none eventful day in Storybrook, as usual. You honestly couldn't expect different from such a little town but, the quiet time didn't bother anyone for now. It was better than fighting off villains and trying to constantly save each other. It had been three weeks since they returned to Storybrook from the underworld and things were finally starting to feel a bit normal.

After the loss of her love and captain wonder coming back, it was hard for Regina some days but, she managed to suppress her anger and annoyance and manage life as a hero. Of course she was angry at the one handed wonders return, she couldn't fathom what Emma saw in the moron pirate. They were always together and the only time Emma was left alone was when she was at the station, simply because Regina had a great hand in that.

She smirked to herself at this thought and shook her head as she packed up her bag and was ready to head home. She turned out all the lights at the mayor's office and left her second home, knowing her son would be hungry and knowing she was working rather late by now. It was just past seven when she finally locked the town hall and hissed as a cold wind swooped through her jacket and caused a cold chill down her spine.

Of course there would be a storm, it's the only damn excitement in this town.

She thought with a roll of her eyes as she rushed and got into her car, shaking her hands out to get some feeling back into her cold fingers. She drove home as fast as she could and rushed up her driveway as she listened to the howling of the wind. She closed the garage her car and Henry's bike was parked in, frowning at the damned thing for a second. She still couldn't believe Emma allowed August to give him that thing, over her dead body would she let her son get on it.

She opened the door that lead into her house from the garage and took a deep breath, the warmth of her house slowly taking away the cold from outside. "Henry! I'm home, sweetheart!" She called out to her son and smiled when she heard heavy feet coming down the stairs. The boy was sixteen and taller than both his mother's now, it almost broke Regina's heart to see how fast her son grew up.

"Hey, mom you worked late. I figured you wouldn't want to cook when you got back, so I ordered in." Henry said as he went up to his mother and gave her a kiss on the cheek, before walking to the kitchen. Regina smiled at this, her son was definitely the most considerate person in her life at this point.

"Thank you Henry, what did you get?"

"Chinese, duh."

He called as he came out with the cardboard box from the Chinese place and Regina grinned proudly shaking her head.

Definitely my son

She thought as she shrugged off her coat and took off her heels, sighing and wiggling her toes. She loved her fuck-me-heels, as Emma called them, but sometimes she just wanted to get into warm fuzzy socks and never look in their direction again. She walked through to the kitchen and ruffled her son's hair as he leaned against the counter, before getting a glass and pouring herself some much needed wine.

Henry smiled through a mouth full off noodles and finished chewing, eyeing his mother for a moment. "You need to take a break at some point, I think I see a few grey hairs." He teased with a smirk, watching his mother's eyes widen in horror.
"You better be joking, mister. Or I will take cash from your allowance to dye my hair." The former queen scolded with scolding eyes as she walked past her son, she heard a loud chuckle and shook her head as she made her way to the stairs. She turned back and gave Henry a stern look. "Don't touch my dumplings." She warned and recieved a goofy smile in return, rolling her eyes as that look reminded her of Emma.

She made her way up to her room and sighed as she stripped out of her pantsuit and checked for any grey hairs, rolling her eyes as she saw her son was only joking. She walked to her bathroom and decided on a quick shower, enjoying the heated water on her skin. She leaned against the tiles for a second, thinking back on her life, before shaking those thoughts from her head.
