The two women looked at each other, smiling lightly as two hearts beat in unison. Next thing they knew, the lights were out and it was completely dark, except for the lightning that clashed behind them. Regina yelped softly while Emma rummage through her side drawer, but another loud noise made them both jump and reach for one another.
----------------------------

"Well, that didn't sound good." Emma murmured and Regina glanced to the voice, silently glaring.

"Get off me, for gods sakes, you have the grip of an angry bear." Regina said and pushed the blonde off of her, stumbling in the darkness. She flicked her wrist to create some sort of light, but nothing came, which caused a frown on the mayor's face just as she was blinded by a flashlight.

She grunted and squinted against the light, turning it towards the cells in the station. "Why do you insist on blinding me, Miss Swan?" The mayor asked, her agitation and frustration with the light and her magic coming through in her rather annoyed voice. She flicked her wrist once more, yet nothing came. She looked to the sheriff and found an apologetic grimace on her face, making her roll her eyes.

"My magic isn't working, it seems I'm now part of the electricity in this town." Regina said and rolled her eyes, placing her hands on her hips.

Emma watched the agitated mayor and flicked her wrists, but nothing came either. She sighed heavily and moved past Regina, going towards the door. "Let's see if the whole town is out or if it's just the station." She muttered and pushed at the door, but nothing came of it. "Damn it!" She whisper yelled and smacked the door. "Looks like we're stuck." She said and Regina took out her phone.

Please just be a goddamn storm, please just be a storm...

She repeated in her mind as she checked for bars, but realised that she had no signal either. "Fuck..." She muttered and brushed her hair back, noticing in her preferable vision that the saviour was watching her with that familiar goofy grin she sees on their son daily.

"What, Emma? Did I grow horns and a tail?" She quipped sarcastically, causing Emma's grin to become wider.

"Oh no, madam mayor. Those have been there since the moment I laid eyes on you." The saviour said and winked before setting the flashlight upward so it created more light, while she leaned against the door, crossing her arms. "Okay, first off, you're in fuzzy socks and slippers, never in my years have I seen that. Also, I've never heard you use the word 'fuck', is no magic making you a little less 'stick-up-your-ass'y?"

Regina just glared at the blonde, her lips forced into a tight line that made her bottom lip pout out. "Unlike you, Miss Swan, I like keeping a professional look around anyone outside of my house. I also don't like to be a potty mouth like you, it really shows why I am the stern mother to our son." She declared, raising a brow and smirking at the saviour.

In turn, she received a scoff and an eye roll, which pleased her immensely. This was just how her and Emma's relationship was, they would tease and poke at one another, even though deep down, both women adored one another.

"So, what's the next step?"

Regina turned to the voice that ripped her out of her thoughts and sighed, watching the blonde make light birds over the flashlight. She rolled her eyes and shook her head, fighting hard not to face palm. "I wish I could say it was to make you an adult, but I have tried, I would be wasting my precious time. I think the 'next step' should be checking if your walky talky works so we can see if our son is still alright. Then, I suppose we wait till the morning so we can call someone to get us out of here. The windows have bars, and like you said, we are stuck, how, I do not know. Nor you or I have our magic, so we are...stuck." She muttered the last word with a heavy sigh in between and looked around.
