No More Dream
"Tae tae?" He curiously asked me.
"Actually when you mispronounced it like Ta-e, it means poop in Tagalog ahahahahhahaha!" I laughed hard.
"Ahahhahahahahahahahah!!!!" He started to laugh too while his siblings laugh also even though they are too innocent to understand.
"Do I look like a poop to you?" He mocks me.
"I didn--"
"No it's okay. Its always been like this. We can't afford nice and clean clothes you know. Mom and Dad always works hard for everything we need." He said with a smile.
"I didn't mean that. You misunderstood me." I explained.
"No problem. It's nothing. And you are?" He asked.
"I'm Larandine" I offered my hand for shakehands.
"I should call you Lara then." He winks taking my hand.
"Mary!!!! What are you doing!? Why are you touching my daughter's hand!?" Mom suddenly popped in front of us and pulled me from taehyung.
"Sorry I didn--" taehyung muttered.
"Why did you touched his hand-- it's disgus--"
"Mom! It's nothing!" I stopped her from overreacting again. I hate mom's rude personality. She thinks we're too high class. For me, it doesn't mean that if you're rich you're in a higher level from less fortunate people. And it doesn't mean that if you're rich, you have the rights to hurt or insult other people.
If only I can tell her that. Problem is if you talk back to your parents, even if you have a point and you're right they will turn the tables and call you disrespectful. I hate toxic sht like that.
Mom just rolled her eyes and pulled me so strong away from Taetae.
"It's okay. Gwaenchana." I whispered at the worried Taehyung. He thinks it's his fault.
While my mom pulls me, I am still looking behind Taehyung staring at me. He waved his hand and mouthed "See you soon again."
Yeah we should see each other again.

"How's your brother's company?" Mom asked at the phone. Daddy is on the phone, I can hear him because mom turned on the loudspeaker.
"It's doing great so far. He's starting from scrap. Still investing and hopefully he can start auditions after 2-3 years of preparations."
"That's good. He's been too dependent in you and I hate it darling. You have a family and at times like this you should be with us! Not with your poor brother. Tsk. He should get a life and stop being so usele--"
"Mom.. your mouth. It's too much." I rolled my eyes behind. My mom is just too rude!
"What's too much Laradine!? I am just stating facts---"
"Your daughter is right. That's too much. He is still my brother." Daddy told her.
"Fine fine. Just do great and make sure we can go back to Seoul with you." Mom rolled her eyes and stared at me. She ended the call.
"What are you saying Mary? What's too much? People should get a life. You can't just sit there and wait for you to be rich. You need to work hard for it. Do you understand that darling?" Mommy told me while combing my hair.
"Mom, we have different capacities and different goals in life. We can't just judge people just because we are rich and we can provide our needs. There's a good life waiting for each one of us." I told her sincerely.
