Prologue: oh god, please no
March
Imagine being in a room full of talented theater kids. Who all need make-up, hair styled and sprayed, costumes and a bunch of other random things. All before mic check.
Yep. It's a stressful chaos. Especially during the first dress rehearsal.
"Lena! Can you get us some more hair gel please?"
"Sure can Ms. Emily" I navigated my way through the mess of people, careful on to step on any costumes or makeup products.
Ah ha. Found it. I grabbed the tub of green gel and handed it to the captain of Hair and Make-up crew.
"Also Lena?" I turned back around to look at Jen. "Kris just texted me that she'll be running a little late, so doing you think you can also take over on her assignments?"
"Yes of course I-"
"Great I'll let them know to go to you instead" She shoved the gel back in my hands and disappeared.
Jen can be so stressed sometimes it's actually kind of funny if I'm being honest.
Before I even had the chance to finish setting up my station for guys hair, I felt a tap on my shoulder.
"So Jen told me to find you since Kris isn't here yet...?" A thick accent said behind me.
Oh god, please no.
This can't possibly be who I think it is. Can it?
I slowly turned around, trying very hard to keep my voice from shaking.
"Omg Keith? I had no idea you were in the musical," It was true, I actually didn't know. Hell if I did I probably wouldn't have signed up to do guys hair or even the stage crew at that.
"Uh yeah, so you doing my hair?" He seemed
"Sure, have a seat" I stammered and gestured him to have a seat in the most awkward way possible.
Great first impressions I'm making here.
I really just want to go die in a hole right now. More than you can imagine actually.
