Alex was just a child when someone killed her. She was someone you could never predict. She seemed to be bubbly, but everyone knew behind that childish smile was a young girl struggling to keep her act together. She fought every battle with bravery. She vanquished any doubt when she needed confidence. This girl was strong. She was different. That's why she was considered a monster.

From birth this child was abused by her mother. She was called a freak, a monster, a waste, garbage, useless. Yet, everytime she got called a name she smiled through it. She had no friends at school. She sat alone during lunch. She was tripped by her fellow classmates. She was bullied throughout her life.

The only one Alex could ever trust was her father. He eventually divorced her mom and created a safe space for Alex. Life began to go uphill. She slowly built herself confidence. Instead of going to school she learned self defence with her father. Every day was made so much better thanks to him. She ran to him. She leaned on him. She found a friend in him. She trusted him. He died.

He was found on the cliff next to his house. He stood on the edge. His eyes showed no life, and when Alex came home and tried to talk to him, he'd barely answer.
"Alex, What I'm about to do is your fault. You are too much of a devil child. You monster. You have to come and nag me every day. GIVE ME A BREAK! Leave me be!"
He continued to yell at Alex. He watched as Alex's heart shattered. He then jumped off the cliff.

Alex cried and didn't go home that day. Her mother found her days later. She was covered in dirt, her eyes were puffy, and her eyes held a new form of lifelessness. Her mother dragged Alex to her house. No one was there to protect her anymore. She continued school no longer reacting when people talked to her. Some teachers tried to talk to her but soon gave up. It was said that this child's life ended before it even started. Soon everyone forgot about her. They moved on with their own life. No one talked to her. After school she would walk the streets alone to avoid going home. Everyday her visible scars increased in numbers.

It wasn't fair. She was silently crying for help every day. Her scars showed her mother worsening everyday. She'd show up to school with black eyes. She began to pass out in class, but it was too late to save her. She was already a ghost in society.

One day she didn't go to school. Days turned to weeks. When she returned it was as if nothing happened. This kept happening. She'd stay, then go.  No one ever questioned her disappearances. It was always just the weird girl at school being weird.
The abuse worsened more. She had chain marks around her neck. Her skin was pale and her flesh covered with bruises and cuts. Her clothes were always torn. She looked homeless. This helpless child couldn't take it anymore. She went home and angered her mother to the point of no return.

"A young girl by the name of Alex Teras disappeared on 7/9/1999. Strangely enough her teachers were the ones who reported this child. Her classmates said she always kept to herself, but we were all worried about her."

In the end people did care about her. Her body was found months later rotting in her mothers house. She died from brain trauma. Her mother had smashed her head into a wall and beat her corpse for hours afterward. Alex's mother was arrested.
