Third Pov

Memory 2- 16th Birthday

16 year old Sara Grinned widely at her friends. Her parents had just left and they had the house to themselves. Her friends called up everyone they knew. They were throwing a rager, it was going to be the party of the year. But sadly, no one showed up except this creepy freshman that everyone talked about in school.

She kept to herself, talking to herself and at times she gave Sara these creepy knowing looks. Sara would tell her mom about it when her dad wasn't around. He didn't like the stories that Sara told, he thought they were childish.

When her friends and the freshman arrived, they immediately began to drink. They were all drunk, except for sara and the freshman, who only had two drinks each. Her friends became roudy and she was slightly annoyed. The music was too loud, she was nauseous and she had a pungent migrane that wouldn't cease.

She gripped at her head tightly in hope that it would stop, but it didn't. The migrane became worse. She felt warmth trail from her nostral and she touched it with shaky hands. When she pulled her hand away from her face her eyes widened and she swayed slightly before catcher herself on the arm of the couch.

She stepped away only to sway again. Instead on leaning on the couch this time she ran to the closest bathroom. She slammed the door shut and gripped the sink in her palms tightly. The cool touch of the porcelain sink sent small calming waves throughout her.

She could feel herself start to sweat. She gasped for air breathing heavily. A rumble of thunder from outside sent her flying, or at least jumping, into the air. She screeched along with her friends who were slowly sobering up in the livingroom. Another rumble sounded and then the lights cut out. Meanwhile in the livingroom, her friends scattered looking for candles and matches to light up the room.

Emily, her best friend, immediately went for the kitchen cupboard up above the stove. She grinned when she found a flashlight and two candles. She grabbed them all and turned the flashlight on. She scavenged through the drawers in the island until she found a box of matches. She lit the candles, placing one in the kitchen and the other in the livingroom. She pointed her flashlight forward and went to check the bathroom for more.

Sara opened the cabinet under the sink and grabbed her emergency flashlight. It was heavy duty and fully stocked with new batteries. She turned it on and then right before she touched the handle to the door, it started to turn. Her heart began to pump, beating hastily, like she'd just ran a marathon. She backed up slowly and turned her flashlight off and then jumped behind the shower curtain.

The door opened and Sara readied herself. When a light was placed on the shower curtain, Sara turned hers back on and slowly peaked from behind the curtain. She screamed and then breathed realizing it was just Emily.

Emily grinned at Sara. She always had a thing for the scary and Sara hated it. Emily saluted Sara and she rolled her eyes. Inside. Sara was absolutely terrifed no questions asked. ''Where's the girls?'' Sara asked. Emily shrugged her shoulders.

''We all split up when the lights went out.'' Sara groaned.

''Stupid that's how you die in horror movies.'' Emily grinned and an idea popped into her head.

''Speaking of horror.. I sorta brought something with me..'' Sara narrowed her eyes as Emily dragged her to her bag. They all set their bags in Sara's room which was on the third level of the house. The stair case was spiral for the most part.
