Your POV

A year had passed since T'Challa and I returned from New York. Everything seemed to be back to normal, including the occasional robberies.
I sat with Shuri telling her a few stories with my adventures and mischievous doings with T'Challa.

"He never told me about that!" She laughed.

I had just told her the story of when I pranked T'Challa with the sink in Stark Towers.
It was still early morning and Shuri's mother had made two cups of coffee for us.

"So T'Challa told me you used to date the blond Norwegian."

"You mean Thor?" I asked as I sipped my coffee.

She nodded, "Tell me about him. Is he single?"
I laughed and then set down my mug, "Very much so."

"Maybe you can hook me up sometime." She winked.

We then both bursted into laughter. It was right then when T'Challa entered the room, half asleep, "What are you girls laughing about?"

"Shuri wants to hook up with Thor." I announced.

T'Challa chuckled, "No boys for her."

"How is that fair?!" Shuri said.

"It just is." He spoke simply. He then rested his hands on my shoulders before planting a kiss upon my head.

"You guys are so lucky! My longest lasting relationship was 6 months!" Shuri complained.

T'Challa looked into my eyes with an adoring gaze. He sat next to me as I smiled up at him.

"Look! Did you see the way you looked at each other?! I want a boyfriend! And you guys have been with each other for how long?!" She complained.

"A year and a half..." I said as T'Challa reached up to rub my back.

She stared, "Lucky."

We both shared a chuckle and Shuri stood, muttering about needing to work on a new project.
I looked at T'Challa and leaned in to kiss his lips. He smiled as we broke off.

"She has a point..."

"Hm? About her love life?" I asked.

"No..." he pulled me onto his lap, I faced him and he kissed my chin, "we've been together for a while."

"I guess," I ran my hand through his hair as he continued to stroke my back.

"Don't you think it's almost time?" He murmured.

I blushed, thinking of something else...
"A-almost time for?"

He chuckled and stroked some hair out of my face, "Y/N, you would make a fine queen..."

I blushed realizing we were discussing the idea of marriage.
       "T-T'Challa..." I spoke softly.

"Of course we'd have to announce to the council..." He said.
I blushed even a deeper red as he spoke, "Are you proposing?"

He looked up at me. He then laughed a little, "N-no! Not right now. It's just an idea."
I smiled, "Okay." I kissed his nose before getting up to wash the mugs that was used to drink coffee.
    "I'm going to see Bucky."

"Alright." He smiled.

I pulled my hair up in a ponytail and left the building.

T'Challa's POV

I stood up and instantly went to look for Shuri, "I need your help!"

She looked distracted working on her project. She frowned in thought, "Yes?"

     "This is about Y/N..."

"Shhhh! Don't distract me while I'm working!" She added fire to the mess of her invention.

   I sighed, "What's that?"

"A fire proof outfit..." she smiled, "I was a bit inspired by fire fighters so I'm not sure if I can call this my own invention..."
She pulled on a dress over her clothes and tightened a corset around her, "Fire me up."

My mouth hung open, "You look... ridiculous."

She rolled her eyes and grabbed the matches, "I feel ridiculous. And like all of my other experiences, this corset is too tight!"
"Isn't that the point of corsets?" I asked as she threw down a lit match onto the fabric of her dress.

At once, it went out. I watched in wonder as she attempted to ignite it, but the dress put it out, the fabric remaining unharmed.
I sighed, I always admired my sisters hard work, but I needed help with my plan.
I turned and exited the room to find my mother.

She stood with a white dress and her brown eyes fixed on the view ahead. I knew she would have been out into the courtyard.
"Mother..." I approached her and stood next to her. The solitude hanging in the air remained even as I was by her side.
It became transparent of what she was thinking of. I fell silent remembering him too.

"What troubles you my son?" She asked, her body stiffened as she brushed her emotions away.
"I came to speak to you about the new queen of Wakanda..." I said, "I've made my final decision."

A smile pulled at her lips and finally her gaze turned to me, "I'm proud of you."
I flushed at her compliment and returned the smile, "where should I start?"

"At the beginning."

Your POV

Days passed and everything had been normal. I woke up to T'Challa in my room sitting by my side. The morning light crept in.

"Good morning." He smiled softly.

I sat up and yawned, "Hello..." I blinked tiredly, my eyes adjusting to the lighting in the room.

"I want to take you somewhere."

"Where?" I yawned again and stretched, waking myself up.
"Theres a festival in Wakanda. A celebration of all the kings. I want to take you." He suggested.

It took me a while to comprehend his words, eventually I managed to process this information and agreed to go. He left me alone in my room to change and I began to feel excitement swell up in my chest. I was happy to be on vacation with him again. We definitely needed this break.
Rising to my feet, and slipping on a dress, I prepared myself to leave the building for the day with my love.
He met me outside my room and took my hand, escorting me to the main event.

"I'm so excited," I reported, "will there be games?"

He chuckled and looked down at me, his eyes sparkled, "You remind me of a child. Yes... there will be games."
I giggled happily and we approached the festival, unknowing of what was to happen next.
