Stella's POV

"Where're you rushing to?" Bella asked as I hurriedly packed up my stuffs to go; there was no time for me to answer her, I was going to be late for my date with Mike. Oh what joy!
After the incident that happened earlier, I had to clean up the broken teacups. Not only that, the amount was pulled out of my weekly paycheck which resulted to me taking home some chicken change when the week's over, thanks to him. He punched and innocent messenger cuz of his wallet?! If only I got a hold of it, I never would have given it back to him, honestly. Well that's not my problem anymore: I had a lot more than broken teacups to worry about, I had my date. I already booked a really fancy restaurant for my big event. I'm just too excited to think straight right now.
"Helloooo!! Zoey can you hear me??" Bella snapped her fingers in my face, which brought my attention back in and who the hell is Zoey?
" And she is??" I raised an eyebrow at her.
"Who! You mean Zoey? Ow that's just you.....you know cuz you're always Zoe-ning out...." She paused to chuckle a bit..." Get it? Zoe-ning"
"Yeah I get it" I did get it tho, but I was preoccupied with my own thoughts. I wonder how he'll ask me out, maybe it'll be in a romantic way, roses and pedals everywhere. Oh I just can't wait for us to be officially official tho. I was going to look my best, you know just in case there are cameras.....who the hell are my kidding, it's not a marriage proposal; but you never know, Men and surprises. "Belle could you lock up, I'm late for my date" I couldn't help but giggle.
" So that's why you've been zoning out? Ohhhhhh you have a dateee" she joined in the giggle session, well I couldn't blame her.....we all are human.
"I know right....I'm Soo excited" I felt waves on my cheeks, heat waves.
" Owk bihh go! " She said pushing me " don't want to be late for your first date do you?" She smiled.
" What would I do without you"
"Absolutely nothing! Now go!"
I quickly checked out and left the coffee shop, heading home.

**  **  **  **  **

I arrived at the restaurant and checked in. Mike wasn't there yet so I decided to check the place out. It was a nice big restaurant tho, the ceiling was high with balconies up on the other edge for diners too. It was a well defined fancy place. I planned too well when I heard this restaurant opening. When Mike told me he wanted us to meet I booked this place and hell was it expensive, thanks to my ex job, I had enough money to rent an apartment and still have much more in my savings. This place was just Soo mesmerizing, it was too beautiful to be true. The bright lights highlighted the ceramic tile which was kind of gold in color. Even though I planned this whole thing out, I never even imagined that the place would be this bright. I was Soo excited that this was the place that he was going to ask me out. ' Stella stay put......don't let your giddiness embarrass you, all's going to be well when you're finally official.'

With that assurance, I felt secured again. I wonder what he was going to be wearing tonight. Maybe a balzer, or a shirt, even better, a tuxedo!
I just couldn't wait for the moment to come, and maybe, around this time tommorow I'll be in his arms on my couch, watching Netflix or something.....oh what joy!
I looked up from the table and behold our eyes met. He wore a blue tuxedo with a black bow tie to match while holding a rose. It was like an enchanting fairy tale because suddenly the world became enchantingly blur, with white roses flowing and pedals blowing in the air from nowhere. He took my hands and knelt on one knee.
  "Stella......"
"Yo Stella.....stellz? Can you hear me?" Someone snapped at me, pulling me out of my trance. I look up to meet the most......green kind of eyes? Wait what? Who the hell is....?
"Uhm...Stella, meet my girlfriend, Stacy. Stacy, an ole pal Stella" Mike said, introducing his girlfriend while holding unto her as tight as ever.
My whole world crumbled to prices. When he said he wanted to meet, he would have mentioned he needed to introduce me to someone special.
  I can't believe I've wasted a whole $500 for a reservation over here.
" Ow....hi" I said stretching a hand, trying to sound as un-hurt as ever
"Hey nice to meet you Stella, what a beautiful name." Imagine that! The horror!! How dare she be nice to me??

An hour ran by quickly and we had already had dinner. I said I was paying, so they had the audacity to order a king sized crab! I didn't even know where to start from. I tried to put all that aside; in as much as I hate to say this, Stacy is a hot girl. Blonde hair, thin lips, green eyes, I just can't compete with that. I sat there sipping my water as I watched them giggle, laugh, do all them touchy lovey stuff; in conclusion, I was hurt to the core. I felt like a lost puppy left out in the rain, begging for love. Like I said earlier, Men are full of surprises alright!  And to top up the feelings, he introduced me as an ole pal!!?
Ow that feeling of shame engulfed me. I heated up with embarrassment, but I hope it didn't show.
"Let me use the restroom real quick" I heard Stacy say, but paid no attention, my heart ached. I wanted to ask him why but silenced myself. Every Normal human being in his or her right senses would have noticed my feelings for him. I tried to convince myself that he felt something, but none. But instead I was his ole pal. "Wow how cool" roll my eyes.
"Did you say something?"
Wait what!? I said that out loud??! Great!
"Wasn't talking to you." I managed to say. I didn't want him to see how hurt I was, so I kept calm. There was a brief silence before he spoke up. At this moment I didn't want him to say anything.
  "Nice restaurant huh?" He started.
Sure you think that's something I dont know? Big head!
"Yeah" I replied rather calmly playing with my cup. After I planned for our Date, it turned out to be their date.
How awesome is that.
"You know, if you want your crush to like you back, you don't go around acting all giddy in his front."
I felt a water splash on my face. I wish he never noticed, and giddy?? Hell naw!
At this point in my life, I wish the ground could open up and swallow me, vomiting me back at my ap
artment; that way I won't be able to pay for a cab. I felt so ashamed to speak, but he went on anyway.
"I never felt a thing for you tho, I possibly can't date an ex janitress now turned into a coffee girl...." He chuckled a bit and then continued..." That'll be embarrassing right" he bursted out laughing, causing the folks around us stare. I couldn't speak anymore. " You're actually like a lost puppy, looking and hoping for love" he continued. I can't believe I was into this jerk for sometime, and I also can't believe the goat read my mind. My head was blank. No one has ever spoken to me in this manner before, I wasn't going to say anything, not now.
"I brought Stacy here to clarify my relationship with you, thanks for all the money you've given me, but I possibly can't date you. You're not my type, and thanks for also offering to pay for this dinner..." He paused and giggled."it must be so embarrassing for you to wait on me. I almost feel bad tho, almost." just  after his last statement, Stacy came and they both took their leave.
' To err is human, to forgive is divine '
My heart still tells me to forgive him

I exhaled while pinching out of the king crab. Well I have better things to do next week, starting from looking for a better job. Life obviously doesn't go according to plan.
I think I'm no longer into blonde Mikes'
