kairi gasped, instantly snapping out of his slumber. he rolled over looking at the clock, 2:37 a.m, he had dreamt of alejandro's mom telling him his first love had overdosed & died for the 4th time this week. if only it was just a dream.
the tears instantly spilled out of his eyes, he instantly clasped his hand over his mouth not wanting to wake up his fiancé.
it was no help, the sobbing over powered the depth of his tiny hand. it woke mattia up, who instantly rolled over and consoled kairi. it wasn't the first time this week and he knew it wouldn't be the last.
kairi snuggled into mattia, his tears falling onto mattia's shoulder. he hated the fact he was crying over someone else to his fiancé, he knew it wasn't fair to mattia. at all.
mattia never complained about it like any other normal person would. mattia knew how special alejandro was to kairi. he had no clue how much kairi appreciated it.
before they got together and eventually engaged, mattia had met kairi through him. they both experienced first hand how the drugs were slowly killing alejandro & taking him away from them.
they both tried to stop him but it was no help. as time progressed, he started mentally abusing kairi. mattia stepped in before it started to be physical too. kairi finally left him for good after alejandro rejected his ultimatum; him or the drugs.
