WARNING: this is supposed to be a scary story i really don't know if it is though.

No ones pov:

Max woke up on the ground. Head pounding and vision blurry. He let out a goan as he rubbed his head. "Ahhhhh shit. Where am i?" he looked at his surroundings. Forest, trees, a small stream and a black sky with tiny white specks. Max had no memory of how he got to this location. He sat up and clenched his head due to the fact all the blood was rushing to his head. He stood up and looked down at where he was laying, a field of overgrown grass. He turned his head to see what else was around him.

Tress and more grass. That was all he could see in front, behind and to the sides of him. He started walking. He didn't know what direction. He didn't know anything. He didn't know what time it was, if anyone was looking for him or how the hell he even got there. He just wanted to curl up in a ball and cry, or be back at camp with his friends. He felt his eyes getting wet and he felt his cheeks getting hot. Max was always taught cry was a weakness but he didn't care. He was too scared to remember things like that. He sat down and curled up in a ball and started crying.

"W-w-why am i h-here? W-what i-i-is th-this place?" he heard a snap coming from the trees. He quickly turned his head, "W-WHOS THERE?" he shouted. Max stood up and faced where he heard the noise. Nothing. "That fucked up." he took a step, "i could've sworn i heard something." he took another step. "This place is so fucking weird." three steps in. He took one more before stopping. Another tear rolled down his face.

"I just want to get out of here." footsteps. He heard footsteps coming from behind him. He turned around. Nothing. He looked down and saw a little book. Max picked up the book and opened it. "There are 9 papers hidden in the woods. Find them and burn them. Once you burn them, it will die. Then from there, you will return home." Max read the book's contents out loud. "Psh. That's dumb." he dropped the book in the overgrown grass.

He walked to the small stream and looked into it. His reflection looked back at him, as well as a shadowy figure. It was tall and skinny and dark gray. He screamed and turned around. This time, the figure was still there. It stared at him with a grin on its face. It cocked its head and smiled wider before leaning down towards Max. With a hoarse whisper it told him;

"its ok Max. No need to fear."

"HOW THE FUCK DO YOU KNOW MY NAME?!"

"I've heard much about you child." his voice was louder this time. He got up and frowned. "You don't want to anger me Max. we are going to play a game of what i like to call 'hide and tag'. The rules are simple. go out into the woods and find the papers while i count for a minute and come find you. If you can find all the papers and burn them before I tag you, you win, but if you don't, I get to kill you. Doesn't that sound like a fun game?" he smiled again.

"Why does this thing remind me of David and Daniel?"

"Uhhh sure."

The thing smiled as Max told him his answer. "Gooooooood. Well then let's get started."

"He sorta sounds like Him from powerpuff girls. That's kinda funny"

"Now run along little child." It pushed him into the woods.

Max was alone, cold and scared. He remembered the instructions that It gave him. "Ok just, find some silly papers and burn them so i can get the fuck out of he-" his thoughts were interrupted by the feeling of falling and water touching his small body and soaking his clothes. Not like he cared about his clothes anyways. Max looked down. He was in the small stream. "Hm. I guess the stream runs through the woods. that cool I guess." He looked down at his reflection to see blood and bruises on his face.
