Now that you had gotten done telling your best friend about this ordeal, you had one last person that you needed to tell. (Wow, you really needed to widen your circle of friends). You tried to suck up all the tears that threatened to fall. You knew that you were still in shock, but you would get all of your crying done after you finished informing the people you held dear.

You picked up a different transponder snail and dialed the number of the man you were looking for, your adoptive father. The man who took care of you when your parents abandoned you at age 3.

??? P.O.V.

Budda budda budda budda

An — actually quite tall — burly older man stirred from his slumber, seeing as he was a very light sleeper, and arose to take his heavy steps across the still dark, moonlit room to answer his transponder snail.

Budda bu- calick!

"Hello, this is Fujitora speaking."

"Hey dad, it's me"

He gave a hearty laugh when he realized that it was you, his beloved foster daughter, that called him. He missed hearing your voice (after all, it had been at the very least 6 months since you last talked, seeing as he was recently drafted).

"How are you doing my lovely child?"

"I'm great, actually! How's life at the base?"

"It's quite boring, actually. I very much hate it here." He let out another laugh, as he heard you giggle at that.

"Well, I have some news for you, papa."

"Ohhhh, I'm excited!"

You took a deep breath to calm your palpitating heart. You were so nervous you didn't know what to do. You could feel the sweat dripping down your back, and it was so gross. Eww.

"Okay... I'm pregnant."

There was silence, you could assume that he was frozen in shock from the expression on the transponder snail.

"Honey, that's great! Wait, but I thought you got rid of that Don guy?"

"Yeah, but we broke up a month ago, and he doesn't know."

"Good, and let's keep it that way. Now... I'M GONNA BE A GRANDPA!"

You giggled at the excited expression on the transponder snail. He looked so proud, you almost wanted to cry. Ugh, the hormones were already starting to come back, and you had just finished crying just ten minutes before you called him.

After about another 15 minutes on the phone, you had to say goodbye because of course, your foster father was a marine after all, and he was a very busy man, so he needed all the rest he could get. You put away the transponder snail and laid back onto your bed that was lined with white satin sheets. You sighed as your head hit the cool pillow case, it was what you needed as it began to feel a bit toasty in your home. You slowly rubbed your tummy as your head began to swim with the thought, I'm really gonna be a mom.

You grinned at the idea. In just under three quarters of a year, you would be able to hold the life that you had created in your womb in your arms. Your heart was heavy with adoration of the notion, and thus, your affection for the pea sized fetus in your uterus was undeniable.

You were ready for this.
