Chapter 1

" Take the cure with me damon". I beg. I look up at him with pleading eyes. He stares back down at me with his beautiful blue eyes.

"I don't think I can elena. Being a vampire has so many advantages, I can protect you a thousand times better than as a human." Damon explains

" If we are human you won't need to protect me as much. We could escape all these supernatural problems and-"

" Don't you get it Elena. You are the doppelgänger there are so many uses of you blood and there is always going to be someone wanting you. If you are a human it will make it easier for them to get you." He yells.

"But we have friends that can protect me if anything like that happens."

" I thought you wanted to stay away from the supernatural problems. That would be a bit hard as all our friends are supernatural. If we are with them it will be impossible to escape the mess they get themselves into." he says softening his voice on last sentence.

"I know the risk damon but I'm ready to take it. I want a proper future with you get married have kids." I say just as softly. Damon sighs and sits down on the couch with his head in between his heads. I walk slowing towards where he is siting and join him on the couch. He looks up at me and pulls me into a hug.

" I will take the cure with you. I just want you to know the risks." Damon whispers to me

" I know the risks damon but I love you and I want us to grow old together." I say into his chest.

"Okay but we will have to tells the others today" he tells me

"Okay, I love you damon" I say as I give him a quick kiss and then leave to call the other over to the Salvatore boarding house.
