022: Something Shouldn't Happen

I woke up in my apartment, head banging as I found myself laying on the sofa, still feeling exhausted from that chaos earlier. Glancing next to me, a little note from Ander that read, 'get some rest, te quiero mucho', with a glass of water and some pain reliever next to it. Slowly sitting myself up then I took a pill and downed it with the water as I dragged myself off the sofa, heading towards the window for some air. As I'm taking in the fresh air, someone was knocking on the door.

Who could that be? Shit, is it one of Nano's friend I punched?!

I looked at the clock and saw that my mom's shift wasn't over yet. My heart was racing but I carefully open the door and see that it's Samuel badly wounded as he holds the back of his neck. "Samu, what happened?" I said shocked as I quickly get him inside then I lock the door. Samuel sits on the sofa, "Someone broke into our house and some guy did this to me." He replied while I get an ice bag then I sit down next to him and see his wound already got stitched. "Is your mom okay? How about Nano?"

"My mom is alright, glad that she got home late and she dressed my wounds and I don't wanna talk about that guy, he's not my brother anymore. I had a fight with him and I want to go somewhere else and your place is the only thing that I can think of and I'm sorry for disturbing you Maria." Samuel said while I told him it's okay and to hold the ice bag on the back of his neck.

As I leaned back on the sofa trying to relax. "Maria..." Samuel called.

"Hmmm what is it?" I asked as I faced him, "You can tell me anything Samu." I added.

Samu turns to his side to face me as he puts down the ice bag. "Remember when I asked you to help me with our essay?"

"Yeah, I remember that because you returned my shirt too at that time. What about it?"

"I have to confess something, I wanted to ask you on a date after that but I know Ander already got way ahead of me. I have a crush on you ever since the first day of school."

What? This is awkward, what am I going to say to Samuel? He had a crush on me but what about Marina? I'm confused.

I was silent, I did not know what to say to Samu but then I said, "Samuel, this is all of a sudden but I'm confused. What about Marina? I thought you really really like her."

"I really like you first until now and Marina sensed that." Samu comes closer and holds my hand while I don't know what to do, my heart started racing faster.

Is this why Samu always protected me?especially after that party at Carla's

"Why now Samu?"

"I know this is the only chance I have to say it."

Samuel staring into my eyes and I can see that he is sincere from what he said then his face drew closer and closer to me, with no one around and the lights were dimmed.

And then, at that moment, Samuel made his decision.

His leaned in.

His face drew closer to mine, causing my mind to race, attempting what was happening or what was about to happen. A part of me knew it was a horrible idea. Before I could stop myself, Samuel connected our lips, without a second thought.

It was like something just clicked. What started off as an unsure soft kiss began to turn into a passionate makeout session. All thoughts were thrown out the window as the kiss intensified, his hand pulling me close, my hands in his hair. Nothing else mattered; all the pent up frustration finally came free.

"I wanted you from the moment I laid eyes on you." He mumbles against my lips but then Ander suddenly came into my mind and I push Samuel away.

"Joder Samu! this is so wrong!" I said, "I love Ander, okay? I love him so much."

Samu realize the situation, "I'm sorry Maria." He tries comfort me by putting his hand on my shoulder but I put his hand away.

"Look, let's act like nothing happened. We're just both caught up in the moment. Do you understand Samu?" I stated while he replied with a nod.

"Samuel, you should probably get home too. Your mom might get worried." I said but I really want him to get out of the house.

"Okay Maria, let's talk about this tomorrow and I'm sorry again." Samuel said then he gets out of my apartment. After that, I lock the door and I lay back down on the sofa.

What the fuck just happened?

Shit Maria, you ruined it big time! What if Ander finds out?!

There's also the dance tomorrow. What will I wear?
