In one of the owls' grips, Harry found a letter from Gringotts.

Dear Mr. Harry J. Potter,

We are aware that you have come into your inheritance and request that you use the portkey sent to you one minute after you read this letter and let it bring you here so that we may go over that matter that is your creature inheritance.

We will be expecting you.

-Griphook

Gringotts

Harry sighed once again as he looked up and saw that a portkey appeared literally a minute after reading the letter. Putting the letter down, he reached out and touched the portkey, feeling the familiar pull on his abdomen as he was taken to Gringotts.

As soon as Harry arrived at Gringotts, he saw Griphook walking towards him. The young "wizard" looked around and noticed that the part of Gringotts he was in was unfamiliar. They were in a room with a desk and a chair in front of it, and the room was obviously soundproof and the doors could only be opened by the goblins.

"Mr. Harry Potter. I was expecting you," the stern-faced goblin said, surprisingly almost in a gentle tone.

The Boy-Who-Lived simply nodded, as he didn't know what to say. He was glad he had changed before deciding to open the door, as his shirt had been almost in ruins.

Griphook went over to the desk and sat behind it. He then gestured to the seat in front of him. "Please, sit down, Mr. Potter. I believe what you shall learn today may shock you greatly."

Harry slowly went over to the chair and shakily sat down. He was still feeling the effects of the tremendous pain he had felt as he went through his inheritance. He hadn't even bothered to cast the usual glamour he had on himself to hide the scars that he gained while being at the Dursleys.

The goblin reached down and opened a desk drawer, taking out a piece of parchment and a ceremonial dagger.

"We require three drops of your blood on this piece of parchment so we can analyze where you got your creature blood and if you have any magical binds on you," came his voice in a soft tone.

He placed the two items in front of Harry, waiting for him to do as he asked.

The newly turned sixteen-year-old slowly picked up the dagger and brought it to his thumb, wincing as he sliced it and let three drops of blood drip onto the parchment.

Words started to form as soon as it hit the parchment. It seemed to be what his blood entailed and what he had inherited from the various people he had known throughout his life.

Harry was shocked by all the things he had just learned. Why did Dumbledore put all those blocks on my abilities? Why did he try to hide who I was? How can I find my real family?

"Griphook?"

"Yes, Mr. Potter?"

"Is there any way to remove all those blocks that Professor Dumbledore put on me?"

He nodded. "Although it'll be quite painful; nearly as painful as going through your inheritance. Are you ready for that kind of pain yet?"

"Yes. I am," the boy said truthfully.

So Griphook undid all the bindings on Harry; the young boy screaming all the while. But when it was over with, he decided it was worth it.

"Would you like to go see your new vaults?" the goblin inquired

"Only the one with my mother's notebook. Maybe what she has in there will help me learn more about what I am; the books we read for school didn't have anything on Dark Elves."

"Yes, sir."

Once Harry retrieved his adopted mother's notebook, he felt relieved. This'll be a good way to pass his time. He didn't really want to return to the Burrow, so he decided to go back to the Dursleys and pack his things then head over to Grimmauld Place in peace. He'll be able to research his own kind there.

Or so he thought.
