The meatballs almost roll off the side of the tray as Joseph balances himself by gripping the nearby table,he clutches his bag tighter as some guys walk past him with mischievous grins.
"Umm...You okay?"
A voice pulls him out of his longing stares as he faces a brunette, she has a small stature and some piercings on the wrong part of her face or more her body.
Joseph nods and sets his gaze on her before putting the tray on the cafeteria table, he smiles shyly as the other guys across the room chuckle probably saying some messed up things about him, they were the kind of people who have gotten so used to hearing the crowd cheering their name that they couldn't seem to get enough.
"I didn't know your meatballs had a mind of it's own" she says to Joseph but he barely smiles or laughs, the seat across them was empty....she had black lipstick on her lips and she was so gothic... no wonder she has no friends, for Joseph this was the first time he had heard her talk.
"Not gonna say anything?" She asks but Joseph couldn't bring himself to reply....he felt a little uncomfortable sitting opposite her so he just eats his meatballs in peace.
"I get it, you don't wanna be seen with a freak...a goth even" she replies and Joseph stops to stare at her.
"No you've got it all wrong, you're okay but you're just too-"
"I'm too what?.... gothic?" She cuts him off as she grabs her tray and gets up on her feet, her sudden reaction took Joseph by surprise...what did he say wrong?....for all he knew she was pretty dark and mysterious and she knew that herself.
"Wait....where are you going?" He asks and she smirks at him before spilling a cup of water on his body, the water seemed cool and made his body shiver....the way it made it's way through his uniform made him feel completely different.
"You know....for a guy who seems to be a stalker you sure know how to sweep a girl off her feet" she yells sarcastically and Joseph looks down at his food unable to eat it....his body was freaking wet and he had all eyes on him....those words brought back a rush of memories.
"So you think am a stalker?" Joseph laughs throwing some popcorn at her face, she had black hair and blueish eyes and an incredible smile...she holds up a newspaper and begins to shove it in his face.
"This should say... Joseph the big newspaper stalker who just doesn't know how to sweep a girl off her feet!" She laughs eating the popcorn Joseph threw at her.
"You know I can Kaila, I just haven't....you know..."he laughs nervously and Kaila looks at him with cute big eyes.
"You haven't what?"
"Wow...you really do want me to say it... don't you?"he replies and she nods her head in approval, he really didn't want to say it to her....this would be so embarrassing to say.
"You're gonna laugh at me"
"No I won't"
"You are" Joseph points his index finger at her face before she bursts into a huge laughter.
"No...okay maybe a little" she replies and he sucks in a deep breathe before turning to look at her.
"I haven't-"
"Hey Joe...my man!" Someone hits his back roughly making Joe to pull out from his thinking and back into reality, he was dripping wet and his meatballs were all soaked in water,he looks down at his camera and curses underneath his breath...it was all messed up with water and meatballs.
He removed the camera from his plate and people burst into an huge laughter,he turns to face the huge looking guy who just finished hitting him.
"What do you want?"he mumbles underneath his breath,he knew how this was going to end pretty well.
"Just wanted to congratulate you..man, so you and the goth?....she really went all out dude"he grins but Joseph doesn't give a reply.
"C'mon Josey....tell us...have you knocked her yet?"he winks and Joseph lands a huge punch on his face...the whole cafeteria gasps as Luke strikes back knocking Joseph off his feet.
"Leave me alone,Luke."
Luke lands hot punches on Joseph's face as Joseph stays down on the ground unable to move, Joseph manages to punch Luke right back on the nose and he uses his thumb to wipe the blood off.
"Her name is Fiona" Joseph says and Luke looks at him obnoxiously before a figure heads towards the both of them...he had a masculine figure and he looked quite unappealing to the both of them.
"Boston to my office and you too,Lay" the guy yells supporting Joseph who found it quite difficult to move...the two of them snarked at each other before leaving the cafeteria.
"Man that was some show" another guy says before everybody goes back to mumbling and eating.
