Into The Eye Of The Storm...
"Uh... Dumb question; what do we do now?" Uraraka asked while tilting her head towards (Y/n) and Rikido. She was pointing to the storm that could and would ultimately be their killer if they rush in without a plan. "I don't think we can just walk into that death storm." She adds with worry as she glanced her chocolate colored eyes over towards the ongoing storm.
The giant sandstorm raging on in front of them as (Y/n) casually strolls over to the unnaturally hemispherical destructive force of wind, sand, and lightning. She lifts her (s/c) hand to the edge, about to push it into the haze of dusted sand flying about. However, right as she made contact with the outer layering, she was forcefully pushed back by an unseen Spell.
The others in the group jump in horror and surprise by the hidden spell that not even Bakugou could see with his Aura Sense. Though, as the storm nor the spell is a living being with a Magsia Core that all magic users have, it would be impossible for anyone to see an invisible spell besides the caster. You could basically say that spells are like that of a footprint. It's a Remnant left behind by the person previously there, but can never be seen unless it is that 'footprint' of the user you are specifically looking for. This is what makes spells such as this such a deadly tool.
The young captain stared down at her bloodied fingers and huffed with annoyance as she cleared off the blood with a handkerchief that was previously laying uselessly in her coat pocket. She turned her attention over to her companions and spoke with words filled with a tone of irritation.
"I can see why no one was truly able to find out what lies in this death trap and those who did try, died." Kirishima and a few others were confused as to what (Y/n) was implying so they asked what she meant by those words. "There is a barrier that was cast around the lining of the storm, so that if anyone wanted to get in..."
"They'd get torn to shreds..." Rikido finished for (Y/n), with a forlorn expression painted on his face as he glanced to the sandy ground.
Kirishima sighed dejectedly, "that... doesn't sound like the best way to die. So, how do we get in without getting caught up in the barrier?"
"I may know something," Iida hummed out, slightly hesitant about speaking these next few words. "Typically, a barrier of this size would have weak points—we can also add in the age degradation of the spell—and there are countless ways to remove them. On the other hand, it seems as this is made with a kind of wind or aerial magic, which means we need someone with this kind of magic and a spell to remove barriers."
"Ummm..." Uraraka awkwardly drawled out as she raised her hand, "I have a type... of aerial magic. But, uh, I don't exactly know how to make an opening much less take a barrier down."
"Ah! I-I know a few spells that can take down barriers!" Midoriya said with a smile as he took out a leather-bound journal from the bag he was carrying. "I always have some spells written out in case we ever needed them. Guess that it's a good thing that I take notes on anything involving magic."
"Great. Jackson can also help by finding the weak points while using his eyesight," (Y/n) said with a small smile. "It is best you start now so we can get in before dark... We wouldn't want to run into any giant scorpions and have a battle break out."
"Aye captain," Jackson replied with a serious frown and turned to the other two that he will be helping, "follow me, I'll make sure to find the best weak spot to hit with the spell."
"Right!" They both responded with a solid nod and began trailing behind the sandy blond like two puppies following their mother.
"Sorry, I kind of forgot about that barrier stopping people from entering," Rikido apologized with a bow of his head but Kirishima just laughs it off.
