The wind tore at Dream's face and clothes as he made his way toward the plains. Although he was partially sheltered from the rain by the trees, his hair and skin were quickly soaked, and he shivered. He could see a few sheep and chickens wandering around in the distance, seemingly unbothered by the biting cold of the rain and the rolling thunder. The grey-black sky flickered every few seconds with ominous greenish light.

Dream bowed his head to shelter his face from the rain and trudged onward. He spotted a few skeletons hiding within the trees, but he avoided them without too much trouble.

As he neared the edge of the forest, he heard George's footsteps behind him. He looked around and spotted a group of sheep nearby. However, a horde of zombies stood between them and the sheep, and to go around them would mean putting themselves in the way of even more mobs. We'll just have to go through, Dream thought. He pointed. "let's make a run for those sheep. Try not to get caught by a zombie or anything."

George nodded, nocking an arrow and lifting his bow. "I'm ready when you are, Dream."

"Let's go." Dream drew his sword. As one, Dream and George charged out of the trees.

The rain and wind, previously somewhat muffled by the shelter of the forest, grew into an angry howl as they sprinted across the plains. Thunder and lightning tore across the open sky. The zombies were slow to react as the boys approached at a sprint, so they managed to slip past the first few without issue. However, once the horde realized there were players in their midst, things got dicey.

Dream shuddered as a rotting hand reached for his sword arm. He slashed through it and kept running. Meanwhile, George had found a break in the horde of zombies and was standing his ground, firing arrows into their midst. Dream caught up to him and stopped for a second, panting as he took in the situation.

They were now completely surrounded by zombies. The fighting had also attracted the attention of other monsters; arrows whizzed past them, fired by skeletons on the outskirts of the battle, and a few creepers hissed as they struggled to reach the players through the wall of zombies.

"This is-" Dream slashed at an approaching zombie, beheading it- "Not good. We need to get out of this horde."

"Yeah, no shit!" George gave up on shooting the monsters and began swinging his own sword, trying to cut a path through them. He made a little ground, but the monsters were closing in quickly on all sides. A zombie grabbed his shoulder and pulled him in, knocking him off balance. "Dream! Help-"

Dream finished off a giant spider and spun to face George, just in time to see him disappear within a mountain of zombies. His eyes widened. "George! No!" Heart pumping furiously, he dived into the fray.

George felt his sword being ripped out of his hands. He threw his arms up desperately to protect himself from the grabbing claws and hungry mouths of the zombies. He tried to kick the zombies away, but there were simply too many of them.

So this is how I die. He wished it could have been a less painful and terrifying death. He screamed as a zombie bit down on his arm; another raked a clawed hand through his chest.

Suddenly, the zombies on top of him were thrown aside. The blueish shine of a diamond sword cut through the air, forcing the zombies back. George watched in awe as Dream swung again. And again, cutting through the monsters like they were nothing. He'd never seen Dream quite so ferocious before. He looked... Well. He looked a little insane.

The monsters gave way, their anguished screams cutting through the sound of the storm. "Get! Back! Get the fuck away from him!" Dream's attacks were relentless, fatal, full of fire and madness. He cleared a circle around George, but he didn't stop there. He kept advancing on the horde, pushing it back, forcing the monsters to retreat. He would make them pay. He would make them pay for hurting George. He would make the game itself pay for trapping them within it, for causing them a lifetime's worth of suffering. He would make them all pay.
